Yes, I have had them for a couple weeks now. I also have the Wolfram deck in hand, but KS doesn't care, as long as they get their cut. It is becoming more and more like a store. :?

Exactly, selling on Taobao for the chinese/asian market and using Kickstarter for the rest of the world for already produced articles seems to be the new business model.

They are high quality decks for just $3 though. And this saves me the hassle of trying to order off taobao which is a real pain in the ass. Yea it’s against the spirit of KS but I benefit from it in this sense so I don’t complain.

At this point, KS should just make a separate category for pure sales. But they probably won't since that would make them much more liable.

Campaign was suspended by kickstarter.

From an email from kickstarter to backers of the project:

"To protect our community, we may suspend projects when they demonstrate one or more of the following:

A creator (or someone directly related to them) posing as an independent party to create the illusion of support in project comments or elsewhere.
Appropriating someone else’s biography or falsifying an identity
Misrepresenting or failing to disclose relevant facts about the project or its creator

As a result, all funding has been stopped and backers will not be charged for their pledges. No further action is required on your part."

But... but... TCC is an established outfit who has delivered on their previous projects. I wonder if this is in response to some of the folks yammering about their most recent project shipping late. In the comments section, it was clear that some folks got *really* bent out of shape over that.

Pretty sure it's because of this: https://www.unitedcardists.com/viewtopi ... 40#p128130

I think more people are complaining about all the TCC projects (three were launched simultaneously) and how they are all already being sold in China. Yes, this is nothing new, but I guess this time KS did something about it.

I wonder whether KS can be held liable for non-delivery and other issues arising from fulfillment (or non-fulfillment) when they knowingly allow a project to continue even though they are made aware that a product already exists and is being sold. I know that they say that KS is not a store, but does that one statement protect them in cases where they had prior knowledge of the products existence?

What’s weird is the email seems to imply it was suspended because of some kind of misrepresentation of who they were / posing as someone else. You would think if it was because the cards already exist and thus shouldnt be a kickstarter they would say that. I guess “misrepresentation of relevant facts about the project” would include pretending to need money to make something that already exists...

TCC has produced a number of Flexible decks now, so it's time to update this thread with some more recent and complete information, along with some images.

Flexible Red and Flexible Black (2018)

The original Kickstarter was for a Flexible Red deck and a Flexible Black deck, with card backs in these two colours. These ended up being produced outside of crowdfunding.

Flexible 2.0 Gradient Orange and Gradient Blue (2021)

With the help of another Kickstarter came their Flexible 2.0 Gradient Orange and Flexible 2.0 Gradient Blue.

The Flexible Gradient Orange deck comes in one of twelve different coloured tuck boxes, but the decks inside are the same. The Gradient Orange deck has a main colorway of yellow, orange, and red, but the back of each card (Ace through King) is in a slightly different shade of colour, with a gradient from yellow through orange to red.

The Flexible Gradient Blue deck applies a similar concept, but with a blue colorway.

Flexible Very Peri 2022

Since then, TCC has produced a new Flexible deck each year, using the Pantone Color of the Year. The first of these was the Flexible Very Peri 2022 deck.

Flexible Viva Magenta 2023

Last year's deck was the Flexible Viva Magenta 2023 deck.
