I'm aware that t's more than likely going to cost more money then, but I'm going to wait until the 8th deck campaign to back these. I know that I can "pre-order" all 8 now, but it just makes more sense for myself to commit later. Great theme and good execution so far from the artist.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

Also, David, is there any indication of what kind of delay you're expecting on the LE Mercury decks??
Unfortunately, no estimate yet. Clove Street has to do some experimentation with settings after discussion with the paper and foil manufacturers. I'm hoping they can find a solution quickly but not sure how long it will take at the moment.

I'm reluctant to post full images at a high resolution to avoid people stealing the artwork and printing knock-offs, but there is that one image of the King of Clubs showing the style and detail that is carried throughout the courts.

Yeah, that makes sense.
I backed the full set on the first Kickstarter campaign, so now it's just a waiting game for me. Do you have an ETA on when the last deck will be out?

All good. I'm more than happy to wait as long as it takes and I'm happy to double-down for Venus. I was just wary of the precedent it threatens to establish.

The plan at the moment is to run one campaign per month and get the entire series shipped out before the holidays this year.
David, just wondering if you are planning to make a limited tier for a full set of only limited edition decks. I saw in the Mercury campaign that the only way to get a full set of limited edition decks is to also pledge for a full set of standard decks but I would prefer to pledge for the 8 limited edition decks alone
He had mentioned in the first campaign that he would sell a few complete sets at the end of the campaign. Other than that one chance, you just have to jump on the limited sets as they come up. I am glad I went ahead and bit the bullet and got a full set of limted and unmited. Unfortunately, that also means I will not get the decks until the very end when the entire series is finished...

The Limited Edition set will not be available by itself (it's only available when you purchase the associated Standard Edition deck/s).
Oh, just the limited set. Well, maybe on ebay. However, it will be a long time and it would probably be cheaper to get a LE and standard set on Kickstarter than purchasing on the secondary market.

I missed my chance on the Venus SE+LE set. The good thing is that all of the SE decks are different colors and easy to get. Once I get my Mercury LE deck, it'll determine if I'll want all of the same colored hologram LE tucks from the rest of the set.

David - Apologies if this has been asked and answered before. Will there be a way to pre-order a full set of the Limited Edition decks during any of the campaigns?
Edit: I'm an idiot and the answer is literally a few posts above me.

There will be a few complete sets (Standard and LE) that will be available in the final campaign. He has also hinted that he is trying to offer a display case option for those with full sets. Buying the whole series in one go was definitely a bank -buster. But I am glad he did. I would hate to have been several in and missed one or two for whatever reason. That is a challenge on a campaign with several in the series. On the plus side, the early success is speeding the complete development and production of the series. Also hinted at a Pluto or some additional deck after the main series.
Also, I wanted to let you all know that there are 20 spots open in the $30 LE+SE tier right now. I shifted some decks from the $140 tier since nobody backed it.
In reading the Standard Mercury decks on sale at your website, I see the run for the standard decks was 5,000. I had thought they would be 2,000. In going back and reading the campaign, I see it was listed as 2,000+. I guess I missed the plus’s sign. However 5,000 is a lot more than 2,000. I am a bit bummed by that, even if you are selling the surplus decks at $20 each.

Dammit. Wish I would've seen this comment sooner to snatch one of those spots.

Someone really needs to design a bot to notify you if a specific sold out Kickstarter campaign tier opens up, and better yet will automatically sign you up for it (or at least message you that it is open).

I got annoyed that there wasn't a link to the campaign anywhere on this thread so here.
About this deck and this series: I really liked the Mercury design, but this looks even better IMO, honestly among the best designed decks that have come out recently. And as for the series, I freaking love the idea, the ambition and going the extra mile to have every deck a different design. Deck series that have "that common thing" that makes it work as a set but every deck being different are really enjoyable.

@Bradius: I initially put "2000+" for the SE quantity because I knew that would be the minimum amount required for the USPC order. Due to the popularity of the project, I've opted to print additional SE decks. Sorry if that was confusing or misleading in any way...but the point being that the Limited Edition is very much limited while the standard edition will be available for everyone to enjoy.
Also, I think it would be amazing if Kickstarter would implement a waiting list functionality so that you could get in line for a tier in the event that someone drops their pledge and maybe once you reach the top of the list and a spot opens you're given a certain timeframe to accept that spot (30 minutes or an hour or whatever).
@Räpylätassu: Thanks for the kind words! Also, I tried to drop the Kickstarter widget into the initial post but it doesn't seem to work...just displays the code string. How do you get it to work in a post on this forum?
