That eye looks a lot like the eye on the back of the David Blaine deck.
Looks to me like Ben Franklin's right eye on the $100 bill.
It's all about the Benjamins, bay-bee.
I guess he's not done cashing in on currency-inspired artwork. Why come up with new and original ideas when he can just keep printing money?

Ugh. A nice JR design, in metallic ink, on USPCC Bee stock... Be strong...
It's too bad his last 3 campaigns were garbage and scorned me.

I thought somebody on here spelled his name as Jack$on Robin$on.

I was not here for the JR meltdown (but if someone has a link, I might find it interesting). However, the art above is not that interesting to me. To make a bad pun, "It doesn't catch my eye."
I will leave now (quickly).

Pics from JR's IG account. 3 decks, or tucks at least, 3rd a Special Edition. Seals look like a pain to open. No card faces shown or deck printer.

Not terribly impressed by the tuck, but maybe the cards are good looking.
JR is getting a lot of crap right now, but personally I have no problem buying his decks if the art is good looking. I have said it before and I say it again: Good design over anything and everything else.

While I do agree with you, how many times can JR recreate US currency? We all know how much he LOVES money but he's taking it too far.

That special edition tuck looks pretty good, and he's doing something we haven't seen very often (or ever?), that is, the seal is being incorporated into the art (at the expense of making the seal very difficult to remove, but it looks nice regardless).
I feel like I'm slowly gaining more interest as this project goes along, but I definitely need to see the cards before anything.
That said, I'm wondering if we're not getting a peek at the cards there in the center of the special edition, that looks like it might be the center of the joker or ad card or something (at least I hope it's not the back design).

How much do you think it's going to cost for a custom built deck?? $30, $40, $75??
I'm sure there are some of us here that continue to support his work because they like his artwork, but there has been quite a bit of us that have not supported his work since the Legal Tender fiasco including myself.
Another deck I can easily pass on just as I did with Arthurian, Intaglio, Federal 52 and now this one..
Jackson Robinson is a JOKE!! The guy is producing decks from his basement from an old heidelberg windmill letter press machine which I'm sure rapes him in hydro costs, hence the $$$$

I'm confused why you're here trying to get
other people to not buy his decks. Everyone is responsible for making their own decision based on whatever factors they want to consider. You've already made up your mind, and that's fine. But you're not providing any useful conversation here, you're basically just saying "This deck sucks, JR sucks". Chill out, if you've got nothing substantial to say, then just say nothing.

@shaitani I'll be sure to take your advise......
NOT!
This is an open forum and can contribute anything I wish.
If you want to continue to stroke every deck you come across on this forum, that's your prerogative

Well if this another US currency deck, it really has to be something special for me to get it. I was extremely disappointed with USA Legal Tender deck, but I have slowly begun to warm to the Chinese deck, that one was pretty nice design actually. As an European, USA themed decks are often big hit and miss for, basically not a huge fan of anything USA foreign politics/patriotic stuff related after the Second World War, anything before the Second World War I don't mind really. For example: I really like the Federal 52. The Army deck makes me slightly mad everytime I see one.

I agree, though rather than the horrible orange I feel like it's a real missed opportunity not to have the seal be the same color(s) as the tuck/back design. Would negate the necessity to remove the seal, as it would blend into the tuck like a chameleon.

Yes, this is a great point. The orange seal and the end of the black seal from the 2nd tuck look too jarring compared to the tuck. That's one of the reasons I thought the special edition was nice looking, because gold on brown/bronze looks a lot more appropriate in terms of color coordination. I'm guessing though that JR has already printed the seals unfortunately, but yeah that would definitely improve the tuck.

I don't quite recall, but was there an age limit to sign up here? Even if there isn't, I'm not sure it helps having these 12 year olds running around..
As for this deck, if it's a currency deck similar to his others I probably won't be interested, I gotta put it out there though that the chinese currency deck might just be my favourite I have from him, I want to see some more different stuff like that except not even currency.

I look forward to the Canadian currency deck (which will be available at around 85% the cost of the US Legal Tender).
I look forward to the British currency deck, even though it will likely weigh a lot.
And, or course, the German decks will be... marked.

It seems that JR is putting into use his 1962 Heidelberg Letter-Press, which should bring the costs down significantly... Well maybe not, after all this will be a special deck with the tuck box printed by the artist in his 1962 Heidelberg Letter-Press!!
None of the tucks catch my eye, and they seems just a plain tuck box, no embossing or foil or any other special thing, oh wait, those are printed by the artist in his 1962 Heidelberg Letter-Press!! So they are really special...

As I feared " Both tuck cases were letterpressed by Jackson on his 1963 Heidelberg Windmill Press"...
Nothing new there, all the same over and over again... Too bad he went for the easy path, just change the color scheme do a "new" back design and ask for the sucker's money..

JR certainly made lots of cash for lots of backers across a number of his projects.
It is easy to differentiate the successful from the failures at that profit making exercise.
Failed profit takers clogging up these boards with the Projectioning and the Telegraphing of >Their Own Inefficiencies and Inaccuracies< ....
They never seem to tire of embarrassing themselves .... whilst vexatiously and mendaciously maligning a great volume producer who is *not in the least* interested in their >>petty and malicious negativity<<.
This is one of the >Truths<, indeed >The Truth< perpetuated throughout this thread.
That is all.
Carry on.
