Quite a cool looking Hanafuda deck. Already over 9000 USD raised out of 18 000 USD goal, this might fund. Artwork is really good looking, expensive international shipping (14 USD worldwide for 1 deck) but the shipping in the States is quite resonable, just 4 USD.
I think I might get one after the campaign.

I dream of a world where wars are fought only by having dance offs. I also dream that a Finnish playing card designer would exist. The former seems more likely to happend.

That is slighly larger than Hanafuda cards are normally. I imagine they will be like other Hanafudas, printed in thick and stiff paper that you can't really bend. Hanafudas are nothing like western playing cards so it really does not matter that much that who prints them, you can't really use them for anything other than marveling at them and playing with them.

I think it says they're printing on 400 gsm card. Which although it's heavier than typical cardstock, I don't think will be as thick as traditional Hanafuda cards. I'm not sure though.
