I've posted these before on uc.net so I thought I'd re-post them here My Dad built these for me and he recently made me one with a plastic cover on hindges with a lock! I'm also taking this opertunity to show off my collection. I know I'm missing a lot of the newer decks but that's what tax returns are for, right!?

Re: Playing Card Display Cases
I asked him how much it would cost to mass produce them and he ballparked around $200. I thought that would be a bit pricy but I suppose if there's enough of a demand for them, he could whip some up. But shipping would probably be expensive too...Sinsandman wrote:Is he selling them?

Those are awesome display cases! I'm sure people would be interested in them.

Re: Playing Card Display Cases
Mike at BMP already sells a display for 50 decks, somewhat different than the one above

It holds 60 decks as well and is very similar, except for the lock. I decided not to go with the lock because it only increased the cost and it did not appear to be worth it to me.
Thanks!

Yeah, I wondered why he put the lock on it and he answered, "Locks keep honest people honest."

Re: Playing Card Display Cases
thats awesome! though i would like something like that, i wouldnt want to spend anywhere near 150, you could buy a lot of decks with that much lol
ive been thinking about making something similar, maybe even retrofit a zippo display case?
http://www.amazon.com/Zippo-Lighter-Dis ... splay+case" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
bad example, but you get my point. display cases have always been hard for me to figure out for all my hobbies since you have to find that perfect display to storage ratio lol.

Re: Playing Card Display Cases
While we were down I found this thread on Aether:
http://aethercards.com/discourse/playin ... play-case/
IT did cost the $25 so it was a good deal for me.

I did not paint the trim so I saved the hassle and time involved with that. Thought this would be a good share and this way you could see the case both horizontally and vertically. It took my about a half day shopping included.
10-4 over and out

Re: Playing Card Display Cases
In looking for a large display for my diecast car collection I found this which is very similar to the DIY card case DukeBoy referenced above of which I also built 2. Anyhow, if you don't mind one that only holds 25 instead of 30 and don't want to deal with DIY it's a good option. Dimensions look right anyhow to make this work great.
