NEO: FUNDED on Kickstarter (Now Shipping)

Unread post by montenzi »

Hi!

Finally... our 3rd Kickstarter project :ugthink: - the NEO deck. Modern and colorful.

Two decks in Red and Black only ... not this time :ugdance:

Two editions:

* Unlimited, printed by USPCC. White borders.
* Limited (500-1000), printed by WJP. Borderless, 4-6 colors of foil on tucks.

Limited Edition (4-6 colors of foil):

I have long felt that early birds should be time based rather than quantity based, and I love the fact that some project creators are starting to do this. Must reward excellent behavior with backage!

I've really enjoyed the previous two projects, and this one demands to join my collection. I'll be among the early birds. :)

Assuming the price is right I think I'll pledge for these. I just wish the tuck had a little something more to it, or the front at least.

Thanks ~)

By the way, 3 colors of foil on boxes is "just" 100% on top of the regular factory price for 500 decks

This white border is my only HUGE concern before the launch . I think I'll go without borders at all in this Limited Edition.

p.s. ok see you later. 4:20 am here)

I personally love the white border in the second image. I'm always a fan of the back and front borders matching and I usually hate when they don't; however I will still probably pledge for these even though that's not the case here. The 100% foil tuck is a nice touch that will look great on display in my collection!

How can you not be with a deck called Neo? ;)

I have a soft spot for colorful decks, and the courts look great. Depending on how the final product turns out, we may have a challenger to the Cardistry Con deck for Best Fanning deck, especially since these will be printed by the USPCC.

I agree with vasta, the white border looks nicer!

Note that only the bordered deck is printed by the USPCC though.

It is inevitable.

On topic, I can't decide if I prefer with or without the white line border. It looks great either way though!

Hi again. There will be no borders in the borderless edition. Top images updated.

Borders looks cool when rendered and I like them. But it makes the design busy in real life (printed),

Good luck montenzi!

I prefer the borderless without the white line - cleaner, and more 'borderless' :) if that makes sense?

Live! Added banner to OP.

I also would like to see deck add-ons, like if anyone wants an uneven number of different editions.

10AM is ok for me but 08:30 is nono)) Thanks)

@Bruno, @guru,

Well... Why this paper is different? They bought wrong paper... Wrong stiffness (softer) and ... :ugthink: smooth. Nobody there prints on such soft and smooth paper. Right? They create a linen texture on top in order to sell... Pure business but the end result is incredible. "Crushed" stock? This paper is a little softer that Bee. I like it so much! That's it. :geek:

You're right. Randy is the one creator who always comes up with some of the best card back designs.....

Your comment made me remember a quote that most of the great inventions were the result of a mistake or accidental innovation. I sincerely wish that this new stock comes to be as great as you are saying it to be. This and Cartamundi's 9C2 finish etc. is good for the Playing Card industry. It will make everyone not to be complacent due to the past laurels and strive to be more innovative.

In for 2 unlimited EB's. I love the design of this deck. That and the USPCC printing and great price make this a no-brainer for me. Thanks for making it so easy. Best of luck on the campaign.
