I'm in for the EB4 too.

And I think these are a fantastic deck, with or without the extra Tarot cards!

Thanks everyone......I'm glad you're all here and part of the journey.

I'm working with the gilding workshop to see if they can do gilding with a silver holographic foil (and get the printer to do tuck foiling using same holographic foil). So many creators have burned their hands by going for a special foil type or hologram that I'm very cautious because of that, and thus, didn't put any such thing on the project page or make such a commitment. I understand foil does increase risk & complexity in production so it is better to underpromise and then over deliver rather than the other way around.

Chris O. had also mentioned that while it all turned out well in the end, there were some very serious and expensive issues with the way that he did the Arcana project, so I need to keep a no. of things in mind for the Blue deck.

That said, I'm considering Gamblers Warehouse to do US shipping this time around, and have asked Eddie to provide an updated quotations with latest rates. Let's see.

As my wife pointed out, a deck comprised of the sketches for this would make a pretty bad ass deck.

Thanks @MagicOrthodoxy .

@Vedus - Thanksfor your support....this is a good idea as such. I've noted it down. That said, I'm looking to do something special with the project itself. I tried to rope in Uusi to gild a special collectors edition using the traditional method but looks like Peter is too busy.
"Traditional gilding, (especially on playing cards), is incredibly labor intensive and his schedule at the studio barely allows him time to gild our own decks. "
I always try to see the deck with the eyes of a customer, and I think that's the reason I offer everything from the start itself. I never liked the stretch goal concept where higher quality card stock or foil or embossing was confined to higher funding goals. Time and again, all this has worked as Kickstarter shows, so I think I'm wrong and need to change or adapt to what works.

Anyways, I'm working on alternate options, let's see how they go.

Thanks everyone for all your help & suggestions. Crossed the funding goal a while back.

Now, let's see how to get the second deck to unlock.

Thanks a ton once again.

Sunish

Sorry, I forgot to include your suggestion in my latest update. I was rushing to post about two of the projects who were nearing finish line and this could not be included.

The above suggestion is under consideration and work has started to check how a few cards look with sketches alone. Will keep you posted.

A pledge cancellation has made an EB single deck tier available. Good opportunity to back the project or change your standard deck single tier to an early bird single deck tier & save a few bucks.

I'm still fairly new to this, but I really like how you run your campaigns.

I just try to do whatever I can and keep communication channels open. On another note, I've tested and seen the application of holographic foil. Very beautiful, indeed. Changing color at every angle made me remember the VXD deck video on youtube. Foiling increases the risk in production always but this bit of homework will help in making sure there are either no or very less surprises in Production.

Embossing render proof sent by the printer can be seen here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/su ... ts/1923743" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It looks so good that I think I'm going to cave in and go for embossing even if the project doesn't reach the stretch goal.

Bit the bullet and announced both foil & embossing to be made available on the tuck. Validated it with the printer and they are also inclined to get this done on Bharata deck. Ultra exclusive and 100% handcrafted deck available now too. Latest update here:

Collector's edition box available now.

Here are the details:

1. Handcrafted, painted and lacquered by craftsmen from Sawantwadi Lacquerwares in India.

2. Made of one of the most expensive woods locally known as Shivan. Very durable with high resistance to moisture. Better than Mahogany, Pecan, Walnut and other wood types (you will usually see wooden boxes for decks made of either Mahogany, Pecan or Walnut or a combination of these). As an example, if you have outdoor furniture made of Shivan & Mahogany, it is estimated that shivan furniture can last upto 80-90 years but furniture made of mahogany can last not more than 40 years.

3. Lacquer process increases the durability of the wood, makes it waterproof and attractive to feel and look at.

4. Handpainted with ancient floral motifs said to be a blend of the traditional Spanish & Portuguese styles with Indian motifs.

5. Holds 2 Bharata decks.
