Re: Chancellor by Encarded - Shipping
I would like to do foil at some point and have several ideas. Unfortunately it's still on the "crazy" end of the pricing spectrum and making production costs twice as high is not always the best return on investment. We'll see.

Re: Chancellor by Encarded - Shipping
Ok. So.
My decks arrived on Monday and I opened up one immediately. I was expecting these to be good; I rather like the first Signature deck, and I also quite like Paul's 52+Joker deck. So, yeah, I expected to like these. I also expected to really like the tuck, based upon the photos that have been posted.
But, wow, that tuck in person is simply *amazing*. The details, yes, are exquisite. But, it *feels* awesome. And every single side, every single angle speaks with authority. Well done.
Opening up the tuck, and the deck was actually much more fascinating than I expected. So many nuances! So much to drink in! I love the subtlety of the color scheme on the back, and the boldness of the colors on the courts. The way the characters pop. The oblique scrollwork in the corners of the number cards. The way everything works together so brilliantly when you fan the cards -- front or back.
Paul, you hit this one right out of the park. Well done!

It's interesting that while designing decks like this, it is pretty much impossible to really know what it was going to end up like. All these various elements layer on top of each other, but you can't simulate at home how the embossing looks, or the foil, or the metallic inks. After months of messing with it I went with my gut. Getting the proof was pretty exciting and a vindication of sorts that some of the non-standard ideas I had worked really well.

I actually like the faces more than the backs. I know, surprised me too. The subtle scrollwork in the corners is just a perfect touch on these cards. And that tuck ...

Hey, every parent has one child they favor the most (or the one that gave them less problems). I agree this is the best Encarded deck. The faces do pop very well.

Re: Chancellor by Encarded - Shipping
I just got this about 1/2 hour ago... opened 1 deck and "BOOM!!" mind blown miles away...
I honestly did not see it coming this way... I saw lots of the teaser on IG and it still surprised me in many ways.
Paul,..... I am lost for words...

Dang, they should've done this when I bought a high deck months ago. Wait. . . I think they still do have another one on there but I don't agree with that price.
