Gothica by The Other Self

Generative AI in playing cards ft. Nicolai Aarøe - visual analysis

It's by someone with expertise in graphic design and AI art, and the results are quite shocking.

Interesting observations! The tuck box is nice... not exeptional but merit the looking and we can see the IA is not perfectly controled, it's the reason the infographer have to intervein to correct these glitch. Now see the next example below...

This example below, is a graphic work done by hand without computer intervention or through the use of AI. Faced with such a work, are we in ecstasy? Are you going to promote this type of work under the pretext that it was made without computer use, moreover this is a work by the great painter Yves Klein who is exhibited at the Nice art museum in France. ..

Art does not care about the tools used, it must touch our soul, that is the observation I make. The path used, the way of creating an artistic work does not matter as long as the work is distinct, original and above all pleasing to the eye. Using a medium like paint, pencil or AI, if not mastered, will certainly produce absurd or mediocre results. On the other hand, mastery of any tool used in the creation of a work opens the path to breathtaking achievements. Be open-minded and appreciate beauty because we need it.

AI doesn’t just have an ingredient problem - it’s like having a parrot for a chef. It can sound convincing and it looks pretty, but its still got a bird brain and ain’t no ratatouille.

I've heard parrots that have a beautiful song, and I've heard chefs that can't sing properly! In the near future, AI will produce astonishing works thanks to its mastery by creative and competent people who know how to compose a song... and how to force the direction to the AI.

NOTE : I like your song GandalfPC, you sing well and you prove that you are not a bird! :D:

Sounds like you expect AI to be better than humans in that regard, lel.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

Never even once. I‘m pigeon mailing my posts to the pony express, which then hands it over to Gandalf who runs this alt acc.

These came in today (in a box that looked like it had seen some stuff on the way over here). And for once Im completely happy with an ARK deck. I dont know that there is any point in taking pictures because they look exactly like the cards on the campaign page, I can actually see details on the characters for once. Maybe thats sunk cost fallacy because I bought the pyramid, blue and base decks, but...I do like them.

I do find I wish they would stop with the black/white "artists" deck in the collector set boxes though.

Also caved and bought the Apollo deck which is...more in line with their usual kinda muddy details decks.

I agree with the above. Mine just arrived and it's one of the best decks Ark has done.

I received my single deck and I like it. Agree that it's an improvement over Apollo.

It's still absolutely worthwhile showing how they turned out.

Thanks so much for taking and sharing these pictures here! Looks great.
