If so then why would a creator need to charge nearly double that for a deck with the same or very similar specs or maybe a better question is why would I buy a deck that has similar production costs but twice the price. I'm just thinking aloud. I'm sure by now some people know that price and value are important to me, so when I see campaigns like this from Curio, I have to tip my hat. Well done Jaime 👏
Thanks for the kind words. From a business standpoint, perhaps I should have offered them at a much higher price point. It seems to be a trend with foiled and gilded decks fetching $30+ but that just doesn't feel right.

Thank you for being a driving force for playing cards. It shows that you are more interested in furthering the hobby by filling it with great decks that are more easily attainable by the masses... instead of just filling your pockets. That will work better in the long run for gaining respect and admiration. When's your next project?

Your minis are always amazing.

Still kicking myself over not getting Ink Beast mini when I had the chance.

I missed Ink Beast altogether. There were a couple from that series that I might have acquired. Those decks were nowhere near my radar until my personal tastes had become more refined but by then it was too late ... awe shucks

Received my order last week. I picked up:
Botanica Walnut 2 deck display with coin
Sprout Mini
Anatomica
Botanica Gilded SE
Botanica Coin
War of Realms Coin
Ink Beast Coin

I have to say I'm completely blown away by the Botanica Walnut case and it was an amazing price as well. Really love the colourised lid. Very nice innovative way to package 2 decks and a coin.

All the coins are very cool but the Botanica one has a great use of Enamel and colour, I really wish more deisgners would do this sort of thing.

Only if I have multiples or it's a deck I want to use/keep. In this case since I only got one of each at the moment no plan to open.

Might be when I retire (not too far off now) that I have an opening party. We shall see.

Recently started opening my decks and I was enamored by the light blue gilding on the Feya Special cards and wanted to express my enjoyment of them somewhere. Something about the color of the gilding and the combination with the golden faces and back borders just makes it so impressive for me. Personally, I feel that gilding is just a plus feature and some decks do not match with the gilded colors but the Feya Special deck is chef kiss for me. Kudos to Curio and Waveloop!

unfortunately it looks like that will be last of the line as he sent out an email saying that Curio is closing at the end of the month.

its sad, I thought this was going to be a pretty big campaign and it wasn't, and the cards did come out great.

Saddened too by the news as well…
But what can we do?
It is very hard to compete against big names like KWP, Oath, S17, TWI….

I don't know that it should be viewed as a competition though. At least most of the time, sure on KS\patreon people will say "Im only going to spend $100 this month on campaigns" which makes it about timing/luck sometimes. But I see that happening less just "in general"

I think it was more to do with the time and effort required to operate Curio while having another job and a family; not so much a competition. Still unfortunate, nevertheless.
