Since I'm analytical and a visual learner, I think the tiers are like this:

Silver Patrons : Deck A (2x)


Golden Patrons : Deck A (2x)
Deck B (2x)

Manic Patrons : Deck A (4x)

From what I read in the email, I think the Manic breaks down as Deck A (2x) and Deck B (4x). It said 1st and 2nd (silver) tiers plus 4 of the PATRONS, and nothing about doubling the 2nd tier.

It's not 4 and 4 and its pretty clear. You get Tier 2 reward which is 2 decks and 4 Patrons decks which makes 6 decks at an average cost of $130 a deck. Gold level is $135 a deck average and silver is $150 per deck

2nd tier: $25/month “Silver Patrons”: You will be getting the above plus 2 copies of one of the year’s luxury decks printed in an exclusive foil or even stock color that won’t be available to non- patrons. For example, if Silk was to be printed in 2021, Silver Patrons would get 2 copies of the deck printed in Silver foil.

3rd tier: $45/month “Golden Patrons”: You will be getting all the above (1st and 2nd tiers) plus 2 copies of PATRONS playing cards, a deck that will be designed and produced exclusively for our Patrons.

4th tier: $65/month “Manic Patrons”: You will be getting all the above (1st and 2nd tiers) plus 4 copies of PATRONS playing cards.

I think the issue here is that for the 4th/Manic tier, "all the above" and "1st and 2nd tiers" are not technically the same thing, since the 3rd/Golden tier is above as well

So it seems to me...

SILVER, $25 —
2x exclusive recolor ($150/yr ea.)

GOLDEN, $45
2x exclusive recolor
2x new Patreon deck ($120/yr ea.)

MANIC, $65
2x exclusive recolor
4x new Patreon deck ($120/yr ea.)

But! Ignoring what money seems to go where, the price per deck changes... GOLDEN, 4x $135/yr ea.; MANIC, $130/yr ea.

I think the way of understanding the tiers is that everyone participates at the $5 level, which is access to his special communication. Then each successive tier is $20 per month more, or $120 each year per deck. The $5 per month/$60 per year is for the initial Patreon tier, which is just information.

So,

1st Tier - Patron - Updates, information, etc (nothing "physical") $5
2nd Tier - Silver - 2x exclusive recolor - $20 plus basic tier or $120 per deck, plus Patron cost ($20 + $5)
3rd Tier - Gold - 2x exclusive recolor and 2x unique Patreon deck $20 more plus Silver which includes Patron tier cost - another $120 per additional deck ($20 + $20 + $5)
4th Tier - Manic - 2x exclusive recolor and 4x unique Patreon deck $20 more plus gold (which includes the silver and patron tier costs) or $120 per additional deck. ($20 + $20 + $20 + $5)

Again, I think it is important to add the prior tier rewards as part of the higher tier cost and the first tier does not contain a "physical" reward. That doesn't add to the cost of the decks in that sense, it is just an entry point to get decks, if that is your own interest. I think that also helps better understand Lotrek's conception of the cost for each tier and correctly valuing the decks that the value of $120 each if you will.

If you want more silver decks, then get two (or more) Patron accounts. However, you have to pay the $5 per month twice..that is the cost of simplification. As for me, I think Manic is enough....sorry Wolf. No Patreon account for you ... yet.

the only thing that's confusing, is the tiers of games by EA and Ubisoft, and this patreon is FAR from it.

Don't get lost in numbers though and don't forget that you're actually helping and contributing to something big to come. Each one according to their wallet, feelings or willingness to abandon the so old-fashioned idea of providing for the family
Even so though, the rewards are set in such a way that those Patrons who will decide to part with half of their decks in the aftermarket, will probably end up with a profit. Just think how limited these decks will be or try to buy a GoG Standard Oath on Ebay...

Absolutely. Patrons will have priority when a deck is limited through a secret url sale a couple of days before the public release.

Correct. I just got my Patreon invoice for the month. In addition to my $68 pledges, I am charged $3.20 in sales tax, which I would assume would be my applicable state sales tax. I would assume it is different in other countries and taxing jurisdictions. So, just keep that extra fee in mind that is over and above your patreon pledge (or whatever it is called).
