I was referred here after I started a "List of Shame" over on Reddit.

Wow. This thread is painful to scroll through. But it is a real service to the community.

Bravo to all the contributors who shared photos.

Are you serious? "real service to the community?" πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
It's just fun and in good sports. I'm annoyed by crooked borders as much as the next guy but at the end of the day, it's just a crooked border on a playing card.

You're right, Harvonsgard, that's not the best choice of words.

Although if you're paying good money for a deck, you are being robbed by the printer if it is misprinted, and the printer does need to be called out for that.

But this thread sure makes good entertainment, as well as red flagging some bad offenders.

No worries, you do you. I'll just leave my point of view here for the neutral spectator. Not that someone gets the impression that:
a) crooked borders in general are a severe problem of life
b) that it is a recent occuring problem from USPCC - which it isn't but newbies tend to think that.
c) that USPCC is unaware of the state and is going to change it anytime soon.

Being robbed is quite something different. Everybody is aware of the gamble that comes with an USPCC deck. They mention their margins and tolerances when you print with them so it's take it or leave it.
Again, I like my cards as centered as possible, too. And I'm sure bummed out as well, when the decks are misaligned. But ey, I have food on the table, shelter from the rain and more than 300 decks (majority USPCC) with good borders. Just my two cents πŸ€·πŸΏβ€β™€οΈ.

Another beautiful deck becomes a victim to USPCC’s poor scoring

When they will ever learn? :?

Just a FYI that USPCC's registration issue did not getting worse in the recent years. 1914 ace of spades:

Well, this deck marks the first TWI deck that is off-centered, courtesy of USPCC

While USPCC keeps on doing their off-center misdeeds, how bout this one?

One of the local from my country get this. This is definitely a problem, especially for LPCC since they are known for precise printing. Maybe this is because it is mass-produced that a few decks encountered problems?

Well, USPCC strikes again as usual, keep on with their off-center fiasco and proud of it.
I got a set of Fontaine Denim and Illusion Pack - while the Denim is okay, the Illusion Pack is not

Although many people would dismiss this, as it is a gaff pack, it was supposed to have stuffs that out of the ordinary from the normal one - but I can assure you, this is really a case of USPCC botched another deck with their offset drama. I was expecting to do the illusions with the pack when I saw the trailer for it, but I guess I am now discouraged by this. While I have another set - I don't want to end up with two opened gaff pack.

Either we keep on pressing USPCC to fix this problem, or we boycott them entirely. I don't know how long I would keep up with their stunts :?

So this is called the Fontaine Illusion Deck, and it was mass produced, is that right?

Nah it is not, the Illusion Pack has a print run of 5000, along with the Denim partner, which is also 5000 print run. Denim and Illusion Pack are meant to be paired - for doing magic

Heck, I am not even sure what is misprinted with that Fontaine deck. It all looks out of whack!

This is a new one for me. Poorly printed tucks! Found this on an FB group page. Makes you wonder how on earth did this escape QC and get shipped to the stores?

Stargazers should have QC of the design in the first place...
Jabs aside. The print run of these is so big that barely decks get checked.

Really? considering all the Bicycle seconds decks that get sold due to imperfect registration, you would think something as simple as a tuck would be easier to spot at the different stages of production. I mean it should be easier to spot than minor registration errors that get caught and sold as Seconds.

Then again, I suppose there's big difference between spotting 1 tuck sheet vs an print run.

Night shift is a thing, haha. I can barely imagine how these indeed slip through in-line controls but they do, once in a while. But due to the automated in-line controls, machine operators like to slack on their duty. At least that is what I recognized during me time in printing.
Some operators take pride in their craft some are just there to get a monthly cheque - like I've seen in all fields that I worked in.

Can. People. Just. Stop. Using. USPCC? Like pretty please.... People might keep on defending them for their good handling, but that doesn't excuse them for still keeping up with the offset drama
And also a two cent, USPCC is just falling behind when it comes to holographic foil.

*sigh* when will USPCC stop doing this....? We all getting tired of their nonsense, sacrificing artworks for best handling that people always reason to defend USPCC of this ever-going problem.

Sadly many of those pics are within USPCC's tolerance range.
