I forgot most of the Photoshop shortcuts I knew as a result of learning this crazy program (ZBrush) lol even though I've barely scratched the surface as a beginner. Total respect for those who do it professionally!

Do you actually watch American Gods? Not sue if you get it in Italy....It is such a great series based on the Neil Gaiman book... It got picked up for a season 3 and Marylin Manson is joining the cast hehehe... should be fun

He mentioned it on Patreon I think (and there are other ways to watch), I remember really liking the book back when it first released, but I didn't like the first season of the show (even though I loved Hannibal) so I've yet to watch the second. Though I do plan to check it out, sometimes it doesn't pay to judge a show by only it's first season lol. The incredibly good series Preacher is proof of that, some of the most entertaining TV I've seen in years.

When i collected comic books Preacher was on my top 5.. Garth Ennis is a great writer... You should check out the new series on his other comic "The Boys" It is on Amazon prime it is amazing.. Super heroes with no morals

I am still shocked by how good "The Boys" was. Shocking, humorous, shocking, appalling, and shocking. Great concept and the execution was a great showing for Amazon.

I’m going OT here, but still within the parameters of discussion.

I love Neil Gaiman’s TV work, but AG - especially S1 - frustrated the heck outta me. I remember being so [car horn] annoyed about being 7 episodes into S1 still wondering what the [cuckoo] was going on. It’s one of those series - I think, like Outlander - if I’d read the book I’d have enjoyed it more. About halfway through S2 the story gave me the epiphany I needed (I won’t spoil it). Hanging out for S3 now. I might even read the book over the Xmas/NY break

It was/is pretty damn good. But then I do love Karl Urban.

I have seen the The Boys too, I read the comic last year in fact before I knew about the show coming. Definitely a Karl Urban fan! The short lived series Almost Human he was in was also good. I don't read many comics/manga, they're pretty low on priority for my time, but I greatly enjoyed the first half of SAGA. Speaking of adaptations however, The Sandman also by Neil Gaiman is one of my favourite of all time, I plan on buying the omnibus one day, and is also being adapted to TV.

Yes Sandman was always number 1 on my list and when i sold my comic collection, I kept a lot of sandman stuff like my limited numbered Destiny statue which i have had for over 20 years and I still have every hardcover sandman graphic novels first printings still sealed as I read the monthly comic and kept those pristine

Cleaning my garage this summer I found 2 sets of PVC figurine of the Sandman and the Dreaming characters which sold on ebay in 1 day. I did not know that it was being adapted on TV but that is great news. The only other Gaiman character adapted for TV was Lucifer (Fox and now Netflix). Eternals mini series doesn't really count as they were created by the great Jack Kirby in the 70s

Good omens on Amazon was also a decent mini series from his book

Yes, I saw American Gods, The Boys and also Good Omens (all in original language FYI, I am studying spoken english in this funny way).
I enjoyed all three, especially The Boys - unfortunately super heroes are not a suitable theme for my decks, otherwise I would have considered it. I love cynical stories, as you probably know haha.

Yes, Modern Idols is freely inspired by American Gods, of course it's just a starting idea and all is different

I really have to read the book as well, everyone said me it's better than the TV series.

Anyways - Idols of Media (with the voice of Gillian Anderson) told me to remind you that the campaign is closing soon, there won't be backerkit nor preorders, so if you love them, get Idols now!

Woah, didn't think there'll be so many fellow fans of comics and Neil Gaiman here on UC as well! Love that the Modern Idols were inspired by American Gods (his best work so far IMHO). How did I not catch it?

However while super heroes are not a suitable theme for your decks, but would you consider exploring a Modern Heroes/Icons decks, using Joseph Campbell and Jung archetypes of the 21st century heroes.

Who would we consider heroes/icons today? We have the rea life ones like Trump as the working class Demagogue, Malala as the youth icon, the environmentalist, the health/fitness gurus, the expert, the futurist, the rights activist, celebrity influencer, etc.

And then you have your fictional heroes like what we see on the movie screen, comics, books, etc. The flawed superman, the common man ideal (cap america), the dashing hero/ine , paragons of various aspects such as ethnic like Black Panther, super detective like Holmes, super cop who breaks the rules, the Rambo, the savior of humanity etc.

That'll be so cool to see those decks come to life in your own inimitable style. (and I waive all rights to these ideas if those decks get made. )

Haha, I was being a bit sarcastic with that comment, just embracing the nihilism. If there's anything I have faith for anymore, it's that USPCC will inevitably have registration issues, but I won't care because I'll still love these cards. Really excited about the Eva Noire deck, and the proofs look great!

I have good & bad news - the bad: USPCC messed up the whole Modern Idols hope production, they need to reprint and this will means a delay of 3 weeks.
Fear is coming, though.

The good news is that I've got the limited tuckboxes from GW and they're awesome.
Paper is experimental and looks like fabric with metallic particles - it's very different than any other paper I've ever saw.
Foils are VERY holographic and bright and embossing is super. Here is a pic took with bad light

wait, you mean like ALL decks? Damn, how did that happen?

@Ninthaquila - Yes, I guess all the Hope decks are affected - some cards are skewed and there is "snowing" on the sides.
One of the main issues of Modern Idols is that I've used a lot of neon ink on full dark background, so it apparently it needs a lot of time (3 weeks!) to dry.

Yes, Modern Idols boxes Limited boxes are very nice, I am spamming my Instagram a bit with pics.

I finally got Modern Idols fear and I am super happy with it.
Colors are even better than expected, and I'm posting a lot of pictures and videos on instagram.
