The Halloween deck this year is going to be worth the price of admission for the whole year most likely based on the tuck design alone. If you don't have a gilded subscription, consider it for that year alone. Outsider, congrats on that low number. Mine is 133. I was one of the original 150 subscribers. I managed to get in by the skin of my stubby fingers that first round.

I believe it was 144 subs for the original 2018 subs, the number of decks for a gross or 12 bricks. So you actually got in by the cuticle of your finger.

Every time I see "Member's only" on the site my internal grammar nazi has a mild stroke.

Yeah, there shouldn't be an apostrophe as the members don't own the only.

I just wanted you to know that we ditched the apostrophe in members only. I also wanted to let you know that we are trying to implement a scroll bar on the site as well. I want it to work well and also not look like a windows XP scroll bar Thanks for your comments and input!

That's great news.
Unless you specifically add styling then the scrollbar should look like the default in each user's browser, but then I guess you know that.

I am working on photographing my 2019 Subscription sets, but I realized I still have some of the early 2019 subscription decks at home, so maybe next week. In the meantime, below is a photo of the 2018 set, which is a ton smaller than the 2019 subscription set.
I had forgotten that the Equinox I original display deck had a "display deck" sticker on it". The subscription series definitely had humble beginnings.

You have three original Equinox decks? It took me forever to get just one, but then if you were a subscriber then that's the advantage.

Do I understand this in the right manner? You only get the monthly stickers with the LTD decks? You don't get a free 13th (standard) deck as a standard subscriber?

Thank you Jackson for your answer. I had looked in the FAQ but not on the support site ...

Picked up 'Solstice' from the PO just now. Haven't bought a KWP deck of any stripe in a while ('Intaglio' was the last I bought). I think I picked a pretty good time to sub, cos this is a pretty amazing deck.

Sad news for all Bicycle x KWP fans...
I'm not a huge Bicycle fan and mostly go for unbranded versions when I have the choice. But for some decks it works cool and I respect and value the history of the Bicycle brand so, I would have loved to see some more and fresh KWP x Bicycles.
If you want my 2 cents, why the Bicycle subscription doesn't work but the Table Players did: Felt too much of a rehash of old designs. Too much of a place holder.
First, Bicycle Americana (which is the weakest KWP deck by far anyways, imho) and then Scarlett Bicycle... will be hard to sell to folks that already have KWP Tally-Hos and new customers will be of course be more intrigued by fresher decks as well.

I thought the other announcement is that legal tender will be launched in Jun or Jul with holo ink on the cards! Wonder if it will be EPCC.

Yup. Most definetly EPCC. I figured not to mention Legal Tender here since I already shared that not so new news in the Legal Tender thread.

So, a question came up as I logged in to check the status of some tracking numbers which I hadn't thought of before:
If Shorts subscribers back-order a Shorts deck (from the current year) do you still get the monthly seal sticker?

Yes can absolutely confirm as of my delivery yesterday.
I did not add limited to my shorts sub until June and have gotten the stickers on all limited decks I've ordered from this year's shorts subs. I think you do have to have a limited sub in order to buy the cert ($.01) from the Members only section.

I grabbed a standard sub last night and tried to access the members area this morning, but it said I did not have permission to access. Is there a waiting period before I can access the members area?

I just got off a very long Instagram live with Jackson. For those of you that were not able to attend, I think the biggest news is that Jackson is ending the monthly subscription program at the end of 2020. I think his main reasoning was it was taking a ton of time and he really wants to devote more time to the LOTR and making fewer decks more meaningful. Also, no more Kickstarter campaigns for KWP. He did state that he will give a limtied (48 hour window) for current subscribers to join a new 13 Club or something. I think the details are still being finalized. You will pay an initial fee and you will be given extra perks including the right of refusal for any new limited decks that are released by KWP.

Adding on some of the other stuff Jackson said:
Robin Hood - LTD tuck has very deep embossing (and based on the pic, a lot more gold foil. Gilded version has a nice book case enclosing the LTD tuck. Gilding is in gold. All gilded subs are sold out, ~10 LTD left. Jackson will be releasing 200 more gilded versions with kelly green gilding.
Arthurian - gold foil version to be rereleased in Oct(?). Gilded version will have the same book case as Robin Hood, but in red.
For 2020 shorts - no more Overbite and Christmas Carol. To be replaced by Haunted 8s and winter solstice. If I understand jackson correctly, both will have foiling. And Haunted 8 will have a black book box for the gilded edition splashed in blood.
Club 13 (or was it 13 Club) - he did say that the exclusive decks will be more expensive than the current gilded decks, but will also be better. Frankly I’m not sure how this will work. If Jackson can sell gilded foiled (both sides) Robin Hood with an additional book case at $45, not sure what would warrant a say $60 deck.
Shipping - as an experiment in Sep, free shipping with orders over $50. Jackson talked about international shipping, wasn’t clear to me if this applied to international as well. He said delayed shipping is problematic for him though he didn’t say if it will be removed or retained.
My own takeaways/reflections:
- Some of the upcoming decks eg Robin Hood, Arthurian look amazing. Jackson seems to be going all out to maximise his investments in finetuning the foiling, book cases etc.
- I’m disappointed that overbite is taken off. It had been hyped quite a bit, with jackson streaming drawing of various court cards etc. I was hoping to have 3 different Halloween decks for 3 years, instead of amping up the first as a third deck. Ditto for Christmas deck, though less disappointment cos Jackson didn’t show anything about the deck previously.
- I’m not sure what to think of 13 Club/Club 13 yet. Guess we need more details.

Thanks for the additional comments.
Now that I have had time to sleep. I think overbite definitely will come back I hope in some other form with that insane tuck. No lie, I am bummed it will not be released as well as the Christmas deck. However, I understand Jackson’s desire to get these decks out that he has the license to create. First Mistborn late this year and LOTR starting in Spring. I don’t think Jackson said this directly, but these decks potentially open his work to a wider audience. I think he is looking for ways to expand has brand to a much larger audience, while trying to satisfy his core collector fans. If I read between the lines, Jackson is trying to go for great, readily a available decks at a good price point. Kind of like Theory 11 in there $10 decks that are readily available.
I do get it. KWP will make much more money selling thousands of decks at $15 each than 500 at $30. I guess the great thing is more of his designs will be much more affordable. However, the collector in me is concerned how I will fit in. More to come I am sure.
Tigers are being reprinted with USPCC using a two way Tigers faces design this time.
Also, Jackson is planning to do more decks with a literary theme using boxes like he is making for Robin Hood and the new Arthurian reprint. These are going to be his more premium line and will be set up so they can be placed together like on a book shelf. BTW the bad images he showed of Robin Hood and Arthurian are amazing with the EPCC foil process, which you can expect him to do more of in the future.
I am a bit sad the Subscription program is ending after 2 years and four months. What is exciting is that it is not ending in failure. Quite the contrary, it has allowed Jackson to build a brand outside of Kickstarter. This is going to free him do do new things and not be so dependent on a small collector base.

I don't really have anything to add since it has been summarized well, except it's called the No. 13 Club.

Geez I just sign up for Shorts sub to be assured on Overbite and Christmas Carol deck only to have them yanked.
I guess the positive will be no Table Players/Shorts payment and room for Lotrek's Patreon. I'll be interested in the 13 Club price and decks.
