Having grown up in Buffalo, OF COURSE I'm going to have to try this out.
<checks map>
Closest one is in Edmonton, Alberta. (560 miles).
That's a 13 hour and 3 minute drive from my house.
May have to wait a little bit before I can check it out.
I didn't know they're international! Now I can recommend to my Canadian friends, who
also probably don't live near one.

Comic book maker had a deal with Marvel, then made 30 exclusive copies not approved with acetate covers, which then managed to get graded as official (when to most they are simply creations made from the official)
The fact that one received a perfect grade didn’t help, as the question of how one alters something without damaging it is raised

Black Flag commissioned Clayton Crain (artist) to do an
official Ultimate Fallout #4 facsimile "variant" in 2021. It's essentially a reprint with new (back) cover art.
Last month, Black Flag commissioned Clayton Crain to create a
counterfeit product, by stapling a designer acetate to the cover of 750 unsold copies of the previously-mentioned reprint.
This wouldn't be much of a blip on the radar if CGC didn't grade these franken-books as "authentic". Compounding the issue is that Black Flag created 2 more of these franken-books, and CGC
also graded them as authentic. What's worse, is that all 3 issues magically received the same grade distribution: One 10, three 9.9s, and six 9.8s.
This makes it appear as though you can approach the leading "third-party" grader in the hobby to buy grades. If you can buy grades, they are not an unbiased third-party. If they have no integrity, then the slabs become pointless. The integrity of their brand is up in the air right now.

Oh they are. It's hard to build conic shapes with the bricks and plates. I think they found a good compromise.
What's worse for me, is that Lego is one of the brick companies, that make the underlaying parts in all different colours (they claim to make it easier to orientate while building) so, you can see other colours peaking through the gaps. Not to dominant though. I'd say people that aren't into bricks wouldn't even recognize but when you know, you know, haha. It's overall still an awesome set. Loads of awesome building techniques and details.
I did build a little punk pirate ship today, too. It is part of a theme that totally bombed, due to being too expensive and app focused, so it comes dead cheap (for Lego). I figured I pick it up for the fancy minifigures. Where else do you get a shark guitarist, mermaid violinist and kraken drummer?

The "Hot AF" sauce is damn good. Not something that I would order weekly, but maybe monthly.

Which sets did these 2 come from? I gotta admit, the ship and mini-figs look so cool!

After 16 months, I finally got my .30 cal suppressor on Monday. Allegedly, e-filing seems to average only a 6-month wait time this year, so the next one may arrive much earlier.

As someone who's only aware of suppressors/silencers via movies, but actually fired guns before when I was in the US; just how much of the gunshot sound does the supressor manage the reduce? Enough that you don't need to wear ear protection?

There are a few factors. In my case, I chose the suppressor that demonstrated the most muzzle noise-reduction for this caliber. So, normally, my .300 Win Mag would produce about 180 dB of noise. My suppressor will reduce it to about 135 dB (the same level of noise as my AR-15).
A suppressed .22 LR is the only caliber that I know of to be noise-safe without ear protection. There are probably combinations of suppressor + subsonic ammo that would be safe to shoot without ear pro, but I haven't done any research on that.

I never actually shot one so, grain of salt advised but when I've done military service, folks shooting the HK MP7 with subsonic ammo and surpressor claimed it's dead silent.
Most silent killing device is still a ninja though therefore, enjoy a Naruto Ramen Shop.

That kind of myth is why they're regulated when they shouldn't be.

It's a fully automatic submachine gun so it's not for the civilian market anyways.

What does being a full-auto SMG have to do with it?

Full auto can be had in Arizona
“ Arizona includes machine guns in the definition of “prohibited weapon,” and prohibits anyone from knowingly manufacturing, possessing, transporting, selling, or transferring a prohibited weapon. However, this rule does not apply if the machine gun is possessed, manufactured, or transferred in compliance with federal law.1 Federal law requires machine guns to be registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF), and generally prohibits the transfer or possession of machine guns manufactured after May 19, 1986.”
As for decibels, a few bits from around the web that look like they might be reliable:
“The MP5SD’s barrel-and-suppressor combination cuts the speed of the round to subsonic velocity. The suppressor reduces peak muzzle noise to approximately 70 decibels, roughly the same intensity as a loud human voice.“

Most states. It's simply prohibitively expensive to get into, and the wait times are more ridiculous than suppressors.

Interesting. I never checked the actual gun laws of the US but from different articles and videos I was under the impression, that without a Federal gun liscence you aren't allowed to own full-automatic weapons. And that only old gun owners (like WWII era veterans) are allowed to keep their old stuff.

All one needs is the appropriate tax stamp. Regulating them is still illegal, but people don't seem to care enough and will carry on (for now).
