Wow... according to reddit, the girl making the MOC of Calvin and Hobbes is just 13. Impressive.

Bill is a genius that he can make the strips so relatable for both my kids and I, as an adult at the same time. Worth re-reading again to see the different layers in a simple strip.

Go for the Paperback version if you want to reread the strips. I've been looking to get a set but the reviews for the hard cover show that it's not really suitable for rereading. Too big and the cover will eventually tear and pages come loose. Plus the weight doesn't lend itself to extended reading. Plus it's a whole lot cheaper! Here's one site which says most of the things you can find on Reddit:

https://www.neogaf.com/threads/calvin-a ... ck.947845/

Others who've got the hard cover can help testify if that's true or not.

Will probably get it from here since they give free shipping. That alone makes it cheaper than anywhere else!

As someone who collects and reads HCs and TPBs, there are no apparent issues with the Calvin & Hobbes hardcover set. I can only see it being cumbersome if you've never had a set of large hardcover books before.

I have one of those big heavy book stand thingies that can hold the book at a decent angle such that the book doesn't actually lie flat, and it's perfect for this kind of book (to keep the hardback from collapsing under its own weight.) So, YMMV, but the hardbacks have done okay by me, at least through the first big read-through. :)

As a book manufacturer I can handle big books. Had more often problems with paperbacks as once in a while due to faulty glueing they tend to loose pages.
If it's no big hassle can you (@Allan or @Chris) post a picture from the top of the book?
I can offer a picture of me just done WW84 Lego set as a reward:

I was begrudgingly forced to signup with Xfinity for the new home's internet. I word it that way because I had some of the worst customer service ever when I briefly used their services in 2013. That includes billing for services not rendered, being hung-up on 3 times when trying to get answers, etc.

That being said, things have gone smoothly over the past 10 days. I signed up for 1200 mbps, since they told me that their hardware can reach those speeds (so no buying a modem/router). I can only reach about 300 mbps on wireless PC, it seems, with both work and personal laptops. My iPhone 8S can get about 600 mbps. My hardwired PS5 can get up to about 950 mbps, though, so that's great!

Yes, there's that annoying catchall phrase that they use: "best effort". So you could technically reach close that actual speed if you were to use the internet at quietest moment in your area where everyone's asleep with no one suffering from insomnia , not doing an all-night game session, binge marathon nor doing mass downloads. Which is normally 3:48:51 am in the morning. YMMV. :D

Yeah, it's why I signed up for the fastest speed. I'm only paying 20% more than their 2nd-fastest speed tier, but I'm getting 50% faster speeds than the 2nd tier offers.

I got a new flat recently and the guy renting it prior sold me his (smart) TV. Which gave me free access to Netflix.
Not that I didn't know prior, from Chapelle's show and stuff that is out there from his specials, but after watching his Netflix' specials in full, I gotta say he's a genius.

If there's a Wing Snob near you, go there; Best wings that I've had. Not that you can do much to chicken wings, but they're cooked perfectly and flavored-up better than anywhere else. The boneless are about 2X the size of most places, and better than their tenders (which are also #1 in my book). Their fries are A+, too. I know they're located in multiple states.

Having grown up in Buffalo, OF COURSE I'm going to have to try this out.

<checks map>

Closest one is in Edmonton, Alberta. (560 miles).

That's a 13 hour and 3 minute drive from my house.

May have to wait a little bit before I can check it out.
