Be kind to him, he's an Oath capacity and therefore a bit sensitive when it comes to Lotrék's decks.
the crack comment is whatever. What I have an issue with is calling people insane rehab patients and not doing research when the decks he is pointing out sold in under an hour. It is implied that the person selling these has no idea what they are doing and how did they even get their hands on these. Its also ironic that he talks about research and I still cant tell if he realizes the final deck in his post is the misprinted black bronze green which does NOT go for $80 usually (maybe it did in 2017)... These are super rare Lotrek decks with no prices over 1k for buy it now. I dont see the issue.

It just comes off as very disrespectful especially with the hindsight of knowing these decks are from someone in this community. Thats just my opinion

I think this is ground in the dust. However, I can say that I recently purchased the Liturgy V1 black Bronze misaligned and I recall paying about $275 for mine.

Sanctus is around $90 or $100 these days, so I would estimate that collection is worth around $400-500, at most. Maybe the briefcase is Gucci

Agreed; I got it in your first post. What might got lost in translation was the sarcasm of my post. Our Aussie somewhat regular is well know for his condescendence. Just ignore the noise.

I would be sad because they're both generous, genuine, and talented people, and if they were the same person then that would mean we have one less awesome person in this world.

Some nights, I lay awake and wonder, "What will be the first modern deck that will legitimately break the $1,000 barrier?" A few decks and artists come to mind.

Venexiana by Lotrek? Scarlett Tally-hos by Jackson? Maybe Jerry's Nuggets will get another spike? Could it be a Blaine deck? There are other candidates, obviously, as there are designers who have been sincerely dedicated and perfected their craft. Their earlier works have become more in-demand due to their current clout. I believe there is a conversation that could be had about whether or not there is a designer that will finally break that $1,000 mark.

Or at least could have, as alas, the question has been answered, and it's...Drake.

The Drake thing isn’t really legit, imo...
I would guess (even with my VERY limited knowledge/experience) that it will be either an autographed Virts 2013 first release or a pack of original Jerry’s Nuggets. Possibly a Lotrek deck or maybe something nobody saw coming... either some one-off misprinted deck (I think there is a Virts deck that fits that description) or some antique deck that can be proven to have belonged to Elvis or something...

That's either a fantastic joke on the sellers part oooorr a serious miscalculation on how much crack needs to be abused before posting decks for sale on ebay. (with a whole lot of wishful thinking for a sale for more crack.)

Lel... your knowledge, my deer highpsigs, sucks then. When it comes to signed decks from Jackson, the only question is if the signed ones will outnumber the unsigned ones one day?

For anyone wondering, those were available during KWP's Christmas sales last year. I think they were referred to as "Special Edition Signed Arthurian with Gold Tear-Strip," and were sold in a set with the white Imperials. $33 for the set.

I don't know the exact number sold, but I remember it took a few days to sell-out, if it ever did. I nabbed one, so that listing is definitely not the only one available. If I had to guess, maybe around 30 or so. So, fairly rare, but there is also a chance there are some sitting in the KWP warehouse waiting for this year's Christmas sales.

House of Cardistry wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 1:40 pm ... somebody bought that deck.
Fortunately, no one bought it, I don't think. According to eBay, there was an error with the listing.

You left out this even more amusing part:
This Arthurian deck was part of Jackson’s Kicker Starter and one of the first decks he did
First legendary historical book based decks maybe, now that we've got Robin Hood and Beowulf in the series.

I see the seller has a deck of misprint Theory 11 JAKQ’s he’s pretty proud of also... at least he has some provenance (if you want to call it that) that the deck is legit. I honestly don’t think the guy’s a rip-off artist, I just think he has an overly high opinion of what his stuff is worth... and isn’t completely knowledgeable (I say that as if I WERE knowledgeable... lol!!!) about what he’s selling. It’s a common theme on eBay, whether it’s militaria, guitars, watches... whatever it may be... folks act like they have the only item of whatever they’re selling ever made, or if it’s a common item, that it’s somehow unique.

21st project of Jackson is indeed one of his first Kicker Starter right? I mean, it has a first in it so it must be true.
