You guys ever 'cheat' in a video game?

For example, to get this free 94 overall card in HUT, you have to play 82 games in August. I'm about halfway done, and found out that if I play on Rookie I can just stand in the corner, and the CPU will skate next to my guy but not check him in any way. So, for 2 periods I can do other stuff and run the clock. I played 40 games already, and playing 4+ games a day is just a huge bitch. I'm cheating the rest of the way because this challenge is ridiculous. The other 7 challenges required were not too bad.

Who doesn't? Banjo Kazooie is more fun if you're a washing machine.

As long as it doesn't affect other users, it's all good.

Making cars fly in GTA: Vice City is probably the most fun that I've had from cheating.

This is my stance on it as well. And if it gets around some of the predatory grindfest-esque tactics of certain gaming companies, all the better. "A sense of pride and accomplishment" my ass...

It seems to me that many challenges in today's video games *require* you to look at the code or share information with people who look at the code just to be able to move forward, which kinda implies that cheating is a built-in requirement.

Do you guys still have to use gaming guides? Back with Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance, I think I still have one somewhere, actually... I used it to master all of the characters and classes abilities. Obviously, the guide showed you all of the abilities, and which weapons taught them.

I haven't done it yet, but I need to consult a YouTube video to figure out how to complete this level in Jedi: Fallen Order.

In certain games, absolutely. Life is too short to be so protective of one's ego as to refuse looking up a solution. I also usually play on easy in single player games.

I used to do that too, but at some point I realised that certain parts of most games would usually be challenging enough to warrant a few tries, and I'd rather just avoid that altogether. I don't have as much time for gaming as I once did, so I prefer to enjoy games and their stories as efficiently as possible.

Depends on the game but most titles are pretty doable for seasoned gamers on hard.

I thought it substituted the base word regardless of prefixes or suffixes. Does it smurfing not?

EDIT: Ah, so it replaces the entire word and not just the part it's supposed to. Alright, I've made some changes so that -ing doesn't get omitted.
