That is why I said in my opinion. I would never pay those prices but someone else may. One person's deal, is another person's crazy price.
Of course, when I started collecting I told myself I would never spend over $20 for a deck of cards. Now I probably buy more decks over $20 than under. I was so naive about my lack of willpower back then!

Sadly they're not in their original bags which means they've probably been handled before
. iirc, the arabesque errors were in bags right?

It's not ebay but $150 for the first three Uusi Pagans seems a great deal. Kas is on here as well.

Congratulations to whoever snagged that Branle. Quite the deal there.
(Edit so as not to spam the thread me adds to it with this.)
I call this a great deal on
Blue Choice, the deck that started the move to thin crush. Would purchase me own self if I didn't have some already, still considering it actually.

I know this is not on eBay, but I think this is a great catch nevertheless!

Bicycle x Burton, I remember paying double the price a few years ago.

Not a great deal exactly but since some in here are bats**t crazy about Lorenzo's work
[/url]
I've spent a lot of money on my S17 decks, and I was honestly thinking about bidding, but then it went over $1500 and I was out. Seems much too high a price for what is offered. Lots of this stuff is hard to find, but I didn't think it was that expensive.

I'm curious to see Mike or Kasuma999 weigh in on if that auction is cheaper or more expensive than trying to buy all those items individually. I know both of them have been splurging recently for their stockholm 17 collection

% agreed. Biding has its own (rudimental) psychology

If you can get several people interested, then it can become a feeding frenzy. TBH, there is some good stuff in there, and is a rare opportunity to pick up several tough items at once. Even so...wow...makes me think a bit about thinning my collection at those prices...

There are some interesting stuff on eBay. I don't normally go there anymore. However, I decided to poke around a bit. There is a tough Stockholm17 deck up in auction that I don't see much anymore. Folks always ask about this one, so I thought I would share. Plan to get your checkbook out if you want to take it home.

aznh, you obviously are not in the market for Stockholm17's rarer decks. They don't come up often and when they do, they sell for a lot. Lorenzo just auctioned two left over Gemini wooden boxes, that needed a little work to finish them. He fixed them up and signed some of the original decks. The auction was limited to just his Patrons and they sold for a considerable amount. Nobody is putting a gun to their head and Lorenzo is not exactly the hype king of playing cards. However, he has a growing fan base that does have deep pockets.
The Red Label was never cheap. I paid a hefty price years ago for mine. The purpose of my post wasn't to say it was a great deal, but a deal that doesn't come up often these days. I think I warned folks that if they wanted this deck, it was likely going to be expensive.

That ironically is a deal, considering I've seen some selling for $2,000+.
