Sorry, for the resurrection, but if you didn't know, J&T found some of these cards in a warehouse that were signed. Or they signed then after they found them. Idk. Anyway, they put them up for sale this morning on their website, 144 of them. I guess they went fast, under 10 minutes it seems.

They look nice. Red gold and silver foil on the tuck and I like the design of the cards.

I will have 2 extra I can offer up for trade or sale for what I paid for them. $12.00 plus shipping if anyone missed them or wants one. Perhaps I should have gotten more at that price and signed. I only bought the extras in case anyone here wanted some and couldn't make the sale time.

Per their Instagram, the gilded edition is the "extremely limited" "alt tuck collectors edition", separate from the new "limited run of the original Dystopia" which has "subtle upgrades such as embossing and debossing"

...so, pretty much the same cards?

I do like this deck. I think it's one of their best. And, if the new release is really just a tweak, then I'm fine with what I got. But, newcomers should definitely give it a look.

(Unless the gilded deck is at a reasonable price, in which place, I'll pick one up.)

Less than $50 and I'm in. This is a great deck, one of my favorites from J&T besides my all time fav, the J&T v5. They don't put a lot of decks out, but when they do they do not disappoint.

I think the monochrome tucks is a downgrade from the original, why though.

On a side toe id love to own a copy of any version of this deck. But where are you getting this info. Their website only shows a banner it will come back for Black Friday.

J&T, like most card companies run by younger folks, are the most active on instagram. You get most of the info there.

The cards are indeed the same designwise - could be with new ad cards. That's the reason James went for gold gilding instead of silver, since it matches better with the gold metallic inked cards. I'm most certainly with Kas - seems like a downgrade. If not full Chrome than why bother to make it monochrome. Kinda ironic that the "collectors" tuck will be (production point of view) the cheaper tuck, lol - 1 foil vs. 3 foils.

I don't get this. In my company we put the information everywhere (Insta, Twitter, Twitch, web sites, Discord, Forums, Blog). We don't limit it to one communication medium just because it's "hip and cool". But whatever, they can run their business how they like.

Your company is not one person though. J&T was founded by James and a buddy of his who's name I keep forgetting. His buddy pulled out after the start though, so J&T is James Milaras now.

There is software out there that lets you post the same thing to multiple socials. If I was a one man band I'd want to be as effective as possible. But as I said, they (or him in this case) can run it how he likes. I just don't find Insta a great way to get this sort of info personally.

Has anyone who ordered these on Black Friday got them yet? I remember on instagram them saying there would be a slight delay shipping, but they were expecting to ship them mid-December. I haven’t received anything, and the sent them a message a few days ago and haven’t heard back.

I had inquired around mid December and was told that their gluing machine was broken and everything was being assembled by hand, but was also told they would start shipping out in next next week or two - which would have been about two weeks ago.

Ok, thanks for the info. Glad it’s not just me.

I asked about the status on Dec 29 and got a very quick reply from James. In addition to the gluing issue he mentioned.


"However, they've also informed us as of Wednesday (Dec 19) that decks have a quality control issue that has affected the close to the entire run. There are white smudges from the pigment foil, ruining the majority of the boxes. They have been sent back to print on advice from our letterpress studio, and are reprinting as we speak and are close to being finished. "

He stated it would probably be another couple of weeks before they would start shipping.

I'm in the US, and the decks are out for delivery! Looking forward to them. Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the v1 and this edition of the non-monochrome deck?

Can't tell you from in hand, but the embossing on the v2 should be more dominant. Other than that J&T started to do a full bleed single colour ad card since the 597s, so that should be different, too.
