I honestly don't think $200 is over the top for a 24k gold hand gilded deck. Considering that the prior gilded version were $125-150 about 5-7 years ago. The one caveat is that they have not actually stated what type of gilding will be used.

Also, uusi posted in the comments part of the ks, that there will be 20 gilded, 10 for the kickstarter and 10 for sale on their website in 2022.

24k gold in the amount used for gilding is not much of a factor in price I would think - the actual gold weight should be exceptionally small - gold leaf is about an atom thick

And plenty of hand gilded decks out there much cheaper…

In the end it’s worth it if it’s worth it to you - but it’s not the floor for how much such things cost to produce at high quality

Currently there are three or four decks in the world that I would pay over 200 for, though not a whole lot over

Good to see I'm not the only one somewhat surprised by the price tag. Same goes for the limitation of the round deck. But I guess since uusi planned with pre-order they're already in production.
I'm still curious how the tuck for that deck will look. I kinda dislike it, when the campaign page doesn't really give you something more than already released teaser pictures.

It looks like the circular one is no longer nearly so limited - as you can add up to 10 to any pledge and it doesn’t seem to effect the 800 limit main pledge - works for me

I do have my fingers crossed for a round box…

Yeah, that's what has put me off, too.

For those interested, found a video of uusi gilt deck, they apply leaf in a sheet to a deck

I personally am quite satisfied with the way butterfly gilded their decks, which they did in mass quantities at very reasonable prices - all that glitters is not gold

Yes, I am - I was referring to the butterfly deck not being actual gold

Tale of the tempest Dynastinae will use the same gilding as the butterfly deck by the way

We know there are a lot of you who would love to pick up one of our 24KT hand-gilded decks, but they are either not in your budget, or you wanted one, but they were gone before you got here. This happens. Pete can only make so many of them because the craftsmanship involved is high and labor-intensive. But we also know that there is still a lot of enjoyment to be had from a well-done, foil-edged deck and fortunately Expert (our printer) specializes in these unique decks. We are going to do a never-to-be-reprinted-again, Limited Edition of 500 foiled, red-edge, Pagan Playing Card decks, 250 of which we have made available on this project. I’m loving their tuck case mock-up for the red edge foiled deck. I’m in deep on this campaign.

Awesome, thanks for the tip! Kickstarter's website is really awful with add-ons and I've never even thought to try the app, worked instantly

I was thinking exactly the same thing about the cost of their original gilded deck series on their website back in the mists of time. I also remember getting the copper gilded Pagan decks for $125 each on their website. Hell, their Bohemia smooth tuck gilded deck was $180 just last year. If you’re a fan of their aesthetic (which I am) it’s a no-brainer.

Even uusi can't esacpe the gilding hype, haha. Good for everyone missing out on the hand gilded ones.
Not gonna lie as good as the gilded Culturæ Animalis printed by EPCC handle, I was tempted to pick one up. Not feeling the red on the tuck or the edges though.

It does not show up for me as an option on the configure reward page. Starting from the circular deck early reward tier. The campaign comments are pretty much overflowing with the same issue atm.

They are going to release more of the 250 they held out once they are sure the issues with the add on are fixed. Update pending…

On iOS I show 10 remaining at the moment from the first batch…

Usually when I go to add-on an item, the following screen doesn't load correctly and the total is always missing the add-ons

For me the desktop site had just been responding with “an error has occurred” after trying to confirm my add ons

Oof.... don't know why it worked for some and not for others then.... Is it a Kickstarter server or location issue? That's as much as I can think of; personally I've never had problems with the internal add-on system.

My experience while not for this project, (it was for Eye of the Ocean) using Chrome and clearing cache and cookies did the trick in using the add ons. My primary browser is Firefox (I know, I should go back to Chrome but eats lot of memory) and in spite of clearing cache and cookies, add ons rarely work. So potentially the issue could be due to browser and cache.cookies.
