Got the decks today. Man they are nice! And so colorful!
What's up with EPCC tucks lately? They seem to be a few millimeters tighter. Can't pull the deck out, have to shake it out and when closing, there's always a card sticking out over the flap unless I very carefully slip it back in. It's annoying.

I've noticed on the past few EPCC decks that I've got that the side seams are now facing the back of the deck when they used to face the front. So they have clearly changed the way they're making the tucks but apparently not for the better. Which is a shame because I like the seams facing backwards- more clean that way when they're displayed frontward. Hope they work out the kinks...

So I got a couple of each of these decks, and so far I've only opened the "Elemental" deck. Something jumped out at me almost immediately that I haven't seen any one else mention yet:

These cards are both spades. For some reason, the AoS has a completely different color and style of index on it, and it makes no sense to me. Is this just a terrible printing mistake?
I looked through the KS campaign images, and the images posted here, and couldn't find anything that showed the AOS. Was this previously mentioned?

The AoS was designed as a control card for the deck. It has a protection amulet as the spade bound in copper to help command and control all of the elements. That is why the design is different.

Pretty sure th4mo is referring to the red (!) indices, not the big spade. No design is able to justify red spades.

Indeed my fine fingered friend...
Let me make it totally clear what I am referring to:

So Dave, is this intentional?

I know what you meant. It is intentional. It's not red, it's copper. None of the pips in this custom deck are traditional. This is a very colorful deck. This card was posted as update on Jan. 18th. We received positive feedback so we proceeded with the design.

Thanks for pointing out the update. I figured you must have revealed the AoS at some point in your campaign, and I did go back and look, but still didn't find it. Clearly the detail in question eluded me when the update came out, so - my bad!
I only see one actual comment on that update however, and 11 generic "likes", so it's not at all clear that anyone noticed this detail at that point. Then again, I am only looking at KS, and have no idea what happened on facebook, instagram, etc, if you posted there too.
I could be misinterpreting the tone of your response, but these comments seem condescending: "None of the pips in this custom deck are traditional. This is a very colorful deck." There is no need for that. I apologize if I offended you with my question. Your pips, while custom, are at least
consistent within their own suits except for this one card, which is what makes it so weird. I Imagine this deck would be confusing to actually play with, but fortunately we have plenty of other decks to choose from for that.
It's your deck to design as you see fit. It just seems like a bizarre choice to make, and not very well justified, on an otherwise very well put-together deck design.
Anyway, thanks for the explanation, and I'll try to pay closer attention next time.

What do the Spade court card suits colors look like? Blue, Copper, or Black? I know there is a trend for all the Aces including the AoS to be embellished. Hell, maybe in the future the Ace's might be considered a court card and have a court border like the courts. The Ace is the Highest court card in the Royal Flush right?
