This design was originally printed with a black background in 1937; the white background first appeared in 1982. Most pips have floral designs, but a few have figures as shown here.

Here's another deck that I've owned for a while, since before I started collecting in earnest.

Because she is creepy! It must be the mouth as the black queens don't seem creepy

Re: [felicityk] Alternate suits, standard patterns, and vintage decks
Now I'll share the rest of my Piatnik decks. I'm traveling next week, so I will need to take a break from posting every day. Hopefully I've given you plenty to feast your eyes upon.

This deck was originally released under the name King Arthur; I'm not sure of the year.

I'm confused about the indices on these cards. They use the German D for Dame, but J for Jack?

And here it is!felicityk wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:41 am I get a weekly email from Two for His Heels, but I had not allowed myself to browse the shop for a while. I resisted buying vintage versions of two of the decks I already shared (Naipe Nacional and Loewe), but I did make a purchase today, which I will share as soon as it arrives.![]()
