Like others here, I received a tracking number on the 26th. Much to my pleasant surprise, the first update I received was just a couple hours ago; my package is anticipated to be delivered tomorrow (August 2nd). May the rest of y'all receive similarly good news soon!

Same. I choose to think Lorenzo kicked their candy asses at GW and that's why it's moving now

I received my soft cover anthology... Fast delivery and very well packaged... and for the book... Ho la la ! This is an impressive information document on his works for 10 years.

Lorenzo was very generous with information... it is almost an encyclopedia on the whole process of creation and preparation for production... A magnificent gift for collectors and creators of playing cards...

He did a colossal job in preparing this anthology. Thank you Lorenzo for your art, you will, just like Lotrek and Jackson Robinson, one of the worthy creators of playing cards that have marked our time. :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar: :ucstar:

What is the preferred way to reach out to Lorenzo? E-mail? Patreon messaging? Social media?

I have never had any trouble when it comes to reaching out to Lorenzo via Instagram or email. He's really responsive, overall.

When the book is out for grabs, I quickly grab it without hesitation. At first, i thought the book is going to be small, like a size of a Bible. When it arrived, I was shocked at its size - the book is like an encyclopedia! Browsing through it, and WOW! I definitely lost into the world of Stockholm17 everytime I leaped through the pages. I try to contain my envy while browsing through sections where is shows decks that I don’t have (like: Heretic and Gemini).

Everything in the book is just AWESOME! It is something that you should have in your small library! The book is still okay for non-card people, such as… those who like artbooks

Everybody keeps tempting me with this one and being a book collector too, it is amazing that I have resisted.
Postage is peeing me off. It is $33us to get the book to me (that is $50au) - if I could combine postage, I might wear it but if I add a deck the postage goes up to $55us

The postage is worth it. The book is HEAVY, even the paperback!

To me, Lorenzo is like Leonardo Da Vinci reincarnated. He is not only an illustrator, but a designer, inventor and engineer. I will buy every single item this guy produces!

Let´s just hope he doesn´t dabble into anatomical studies like Leonardo.

Hey harvs, I just asked about your suggestion of a hardcover version of the standard paperback edn and Lorenzo replied immediately but the answer was negative

Yah, more of me wishful thinking here than a realistic thing to happen. Thanks for your post though, you’ve inceptioned the thought of it wouldn’t be too hard to make one for myself though, huehuehue. I don’t have access to a hotfoil stamp though… I still have to put that on my flip chart. 🤔😅

I checked before ordering my pb - it turns out that shipping price is actually good (see below) and I decided to relent what with so many people, whose opinions I value, telling me that it was a must have book.
I ruled myself out of Henry's auction of the hc yesterday as he warned me that the shipping to Oz would be bad news

ps I think there are 330 pbs left

Thanks to everyone who convinced me to get this book - it looks superb, no doubt the strength of a hardcover would be magnificent.

It only took 6 days to get to Oz and only 9 days to get to my slightly remote town (and that included 2 weekends)
I panicked a couple of days ago when FedEx were telling me it had been delivered - note to oneself: Do not believe FedEx, especially if they email that they have left it near your door when you have only supplied a PO Box number! The fact that I had received a different parcel from Gamblers Warehouse on that day, had me thinking there had been a mix up. I now believe FedEx calls arriving in the country as being delivered

Lorenzo is fantastic at communication :ucstar:

So glad you got one. I honestly believe that not only is it required reading for every collector out there, I desperately wish that every single designer out there would also read it! If they did even 50% of the thought process that Lorenzo goes through, we would have a hobby that's in a very healthy state!

Somebody appeared to get a bargain on a hardcover today
Auction on SoCal only got to $125us.
The last one they auctioned a month ago went for $255
Even at $125, I could not get involved for the weight of the book makes it a killer for shipping for internationals

On ebay recently one went for 160ish and two failed to sell at that price, several others selling higher, current listing much higher - quite the free for all
