My deal is I REALLY like one or two designs from each deck (a Queen from this deck, a King from the other, etc.) and if they were all in the one version, I'd get it, but I'm not down to buy all three.
"I have no response to that."

The tuck of the wjpc deck... is it??... I think it is, maybe, the king from damokles and midas? These decks are nothing special for me and I'm not into dropping nearly 70$ usd on .. was it 3 decks?

It's the Secretus Rex for the WJPC deck of this series, if that is what you meant.
Unfortunately it's locked behind a set... as always

But then are you saying he's unreasonable for not wanting to pay that amount for 3 decks?

The campaign's success tells a different story than what you are suggesting, although in general terms you may be right to a degree.

Why run a 6 or 7 day campaign to then have the late backer thing? Would it make more sense to have a longer campaign?

I agree. I think it prices out many collectors or they simply won't spend 30-40$ on a new wjpc deck. For me, the marketing as a whole leaves a slightly bad taste. I can get between 2 and 3 bricks of quality customs cards in the aftermarket for the same price as 1 of twi's bricks. KS 'deals' from some leave me feeling like someone is trying to take advantage of me. I understand of course that is how it works when selling anything, create the belief that something is worth more than it is and that people need it... but there is a limit to how far things can be pushed.

Throwaway has always done that
price a deck high and say its retail value price is more
creates a false narrative hype around what a deck should cost
been like this for years

For sure. I don't think it helps when 'collectors' justify the push of high prices. One guy says to me, " I've paid a lot more for decks in the past so a 30-40$ wjpc deck is reasonably priced." It's a good thing I don't value cards based on what a guy overpays for his stuff.

Completely ridiculous. Let me rephrase, he is acting like a troll and it's pathetic to try and rally people against someone you don't like. That should be fine right? If he can make accusations of people trolling or bad behavior or whatever is hurting his feelings, then I can do the same, right?

I went ahead and deleted another borderline post which I think you were referring to, but just because someone doesn't agree with you does not make them a "troll" -- meanwhile a large percentage of your posts in this thread are critical, which is allowed, but it can quickly become grating to others

It's not exclusive to TWI or playing cards, it's a common advertising practice -- but I agree and avoid TWI decks at "retail" prices; I probably wouldn't be a Patreon except that I got in on the EB Sword pricing :ugthink:

[/quote] I don't think he is a troll. I only said that because he was talking about blocking trolls or whatever. I don't want to fight with him. I don't think I was even talking to him until he started suggesting to people that they block doubleleft and myself.

And I got these in today.

As always the WJPC deck is a high quality well foiled/metalliced deck and its in Gios signature style.

And the USPCC decks are a USPCC deck, good if you just need a deck and basically want it to handle well
I think theres some metallics on them but it's hard to tell.'

That may sound like faint praise, but once again GIO has designed a fun new deck (3 here, they all are different), and delivered exactly what he said he would, there really isnt much else to say.

We all know his stuff and what to expect.
