No no no. No he options aren’t for the customer. There’s only three editions. We just have to choose which color options are the ones.

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
What role does Gaia play in these? It would be hard for me to justify seeing a "gaia edition" with the reds and blues.
1-2-3
4-5-6
7-8-9
I'm really digging number 6, seems hellish. Also digging that tuck color on number 9 a lot.
I'd want to scrap 1, 7, and 8.

In the photo, 2-5-9 details stand out the best for me. The closeups seem to verify that.

These are the three options for blue tuck. The paper is the same on all three.
One will be chosen.

Of those three, the third one Omar. Hands down. Black foil adds the perfect contrast to the rest of the foils. I love it.
And that tuck under the sleeve... Oh my. I am so excited.
Whatever you did between the pre production and final on successor where you made the text bolder and more defined, I recommend here too (referring to the "expertly crafted, finest quality"). Only slightly. That way you can avoid some foil registration issues and the words are more legible.

My favorite is the dark blue tuck box with gold foil and black foil. Everything seems to stand out more.

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
Those aren't injection molded plastic chips are they? Modern quality poker chips are made from clay composite or (especially if you want 4c edge printing) ceramic.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 8:24 pm Got a May poker players in here?

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
They are injection molded CERAMIC. The clay chips had limitations we didn’t want including weight. They would’ve been lighter and less durable. These are 14.5 g weight. 40mm diameter. Also Injection molding was the only way to achieve the custom design we desired.

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
EDIT: I've just been corrected by my supplier. Here's the official marketing specs: High Grade Clay Composite. Evidently I had it backwards. The ceramic chips were the lower durability lighter chip.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:10 pm They are injection molded CERAMIC. Sample chips have arrived. They feel fantastic. Very weighty and substantial. Colors are attractive and the inserts are a very nice feel have great sheen.

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
This is pretty left field, but my mind wandered for just a moment and wondered what it would take to have a shell set for the chips as an add on - I imagine that making shells is too special to make and too special to buy for anyone outside the magic game to want to bother with, but as manufacturing has been getting more flexible with newer techniques I wonder if the place that makes the chips already makes shells for someone?

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
Poker player here. I'm not likely to be picking up a new set of chips any time soon, but if I were, you're hitting all the right notes except for one: I would typically be looking for chips that do not have the values printed on the chips. Depending upon how a game/tournament proceeds, colors can sometimes serve double duty. OR, the buy-in may change, so the values would have to change, accordingly. FWIW.
This space intentionally left blank.

Re: The Groundskeeper by Wyrmwood (Produced by the Gentleman Wake)
Hey Allan, yeah we considered that. But in the end we decided that outside of poker the chips have utility in that they can replace counters in other games. Monopoly can be played with these for instance. So we ended up going with the traditional color and denomination choices for poker. Feeling that was ultimately our target. We may offer some additional denominations and colors as add ons. So we MAY be able to offer a blank set as well. It's a PVC insert thats adhered in the center of the molded chip. I'll discuss that with the team, but I think it will likely gain more credence if we see a lot of backers requesting the feature.rousselle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 11:37 am Poker player here. Regarding SHELLS, that's a no go. These are injection molded so making them into a shell would require a new mold that I'm not sure is possible considering the way these are constructed.
