I received mine today! Here is my Unboxing and First Look!

I received my forgotten Altruim decks. I have to say I think they are unique and I like the story
that goes along with the art. I nursed an owl back to health whn I worked at the Audobon
society back in the day. I have always been partial to them. So the cards are nice.
They farro and fan well. I am still going to pass om the snowy owl deck. It is hard to post
while using this basic kindle so forgive my errors.

There are a lot of hidden things in the deck and I think I found them all. I just have to wait till Nov. 6th. (if you found the secrets, you'll know why Nov. 6th)

I still have not received my brick nor have gotten an email that they have shipped??

Did I miss any information regarding the face cards? Are they the original Darth Vader, Optimus Prime, etc...?

I think you got confused. The court cards that you're talking about were just projects done by Hydro74 (designer of the Altruism deck). The court cards on the Altruism decks are standard.

As an added bonus the back has a one-way design.

That price is reasonable indeed! I guess BC/HOPC learned from their Gold Crown disaster.

I'm very surprised that they offered them at that price. Interesting. I think Alric is right and they tried to do a bit better than the Gold Crowns.

It would also seem that they aren't quite as popular as they might have thought, since there appear to be plenty left. Often these "super rare" items from the big name makers are gone lickity-split.

Or maybe people do not buy everything that comes out anymore?
I mean with 10 or more new decks a month it's tough to spend all that money on cards!
Last year i would had ordered a brick but now i went for 6 decks.
Offerring them at this price is alright.

PS: my first order of the altruism decks (1brick) has not been send out so far ;-(

One question we've been getting since launch day has been about the Snow Owls - When will they be released? Limited to only 2500 decks ever produced, we will be selling ONLY 1300 (lucky 13) on Halloween! The Snow Owls are a gorgeous black and white version of the Altruism deck. Get them here for only 4 more hours or while supplies

Kind of surprised I expected these to not last as long as they have.

Has anyone gotten past the log in page, or do we think they won't allow access until the 13th of Nov? (Use to be the 6th...) I haven't been able to get in, but I don't know if that's just because my password is incorrect or the site is blocked until a certain date.

Without reading through the entire thread, has anyone else been getting a little black envelope with their Altruisms that includes a Queen of Diamonds card for every deck you bought?

I opened a deck and found that where the Q of Diamonds should be, there is an inexplicable 2nd Queen of Hearts. So it looks like there was a printing error and this is how they are fixing it.

Reselling is going to be messy

I believe all decks have that issue. Do the Snow Owl decks have that problem too?

Are you kidding? And they didn't tell us?

I was thinking this was part of their little "journey". I cut the holes in the hole card, tried to use it as a letter sieve on the explanation card - nothing. Compared Queens for differences - nothing. If it's a legit screw-up they really should have informed people ahead of time. (Glad I got only one.)

Anybody contacted them to see if this is an issue affecting all decks?
As a collector, I'd hate to have a deck and single card sitting by itself...



Seriously though, how does one make a mistake like that... that means USPCC didn't catch it during the review process, HOPC didn't catch it... that's not good at all...

Wow, including the snow owls, and they have NOTHING on their web site to indicate. This is quite disappointing. Has anyone received the gift they promised as well? I believe my order is on the way otherwise I might go ahead and cancel.
