Jesus! You turn off one layer in photoshop by mistake and everyone loses their minds

You see? This is why I come to you guys, to spot stuff like this! But don't threat, it was a mistake and all the open eyes in this deck will be bright white.
ok . . . on the subject of NIPPLES ( o ) ( o )

I give you boobs as requested and now you want nipples! I can't win!
MagikFingerz is correct there is a patterned top behind the lace edges, and this is was why I wanted the shading to be darker and not go for all one colour. But the easy fix here is to remove the under boob line on the top to smooth it out. I'll also look at the arm situation.
BaconWise wrote:Not sure why I am spending time making nipples on Photoshop,
Thanks for the lovely visual!
flashcards wrote:Also, do we get to name these?

Currently no

but who knows at this rate. This includes the witches, their arm or their BOOBS.

I would say the top is a negligé, and the two things you call straps are the seams. Negligés can be translucent or not.

I can see the subtle hints of a sheer top now - thanks for pointing that out. It makes so much more sense, lol.

Looking great!!
I still think the pips and indices need to pop out more, and I think the dividing line in the middle maybe ought to be darker? Not sure how that would work since it's part of the star design in the background

HEY!
The Queen of Diamonds for you today. I appreciate any feed you have, thank you!
hsbc wrote:I think the dividing line in the middle maybe ought to be darker?
Agreed, so I've converted the section of the line that is within the elements of the character, which I think works well

I think the pip adjustments look fantastic and pop out without being distracting. This card looks fantastic. Fun to see this develop!

Agreed, and the dividing line change is also a good one. It's these little things that get pointed out when asking a hive mind which makes a deck go from good to great (or great to awesome)

Hello!
I've been a little slow in turning this one around but the queen of spades is pretty much there. Remember, these are the pips for the black cards so they need to be slightly different to the red cards. I think the details regarding the patterns on the clothes need a little contrast but I think thats all.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Great looking card! Her expression is fantastic and I like the eyes without pupils - it adds even more to the ominous tone. Nice work!

Its been a little while but I finall have the Kind of Diamonds for you. I thought it might be cool to have the witch use her power to see through the eyes of the cat, mix it up a little

I wasn't a massive fan of the black cards at the beginning but they are for sure growing on me! This looks like to be an another winner from Kirk!

These updates look amazing, Kirk! The white pop on all of these cards is such a great feature.
I have one suggestion for the King of Diamonds: can you work on the shape of the left cat's eyes? For some reason, the shape seems a bit too round on the bottom half, so perhaps they could be squished a bit, more like a football? That concept of her seeing through the cat's eyes is so badass.

The new KoS looks great but doesn't project the eerie evil of the others. She's more like a hot librarian...not that there's anything wrong with that. Hey, future project idea!

Agreed. I'll take a look (pun intended). Its spotting things like this that really head, thanks

Yeah, I needed one "normal" / hot witch in the mix. The king of hearts will make up for the adsence of creepiness, things get strange and I feel myself already writing thier stories

Happy new year to you all, I hope you had a great holiday.
Below is the final court card. Let me know your thoughts.
I still need to review them myself but hopefully there isn't too much tweaking to be done, I think they have all panned out nicely.

I love how this has progressed and I'm looking forward to the launch!
The only tweak I would recommend would be to make the hand over her mouth more menacing. Perhaps that hand can be dragging claws across her mouth or just more claw-like in shape, at least.
Awesome work on this one

I gotta say... the KofHearts is one of the most inventive courts I've seen in a long time. This deck was already off the hook, but that just pushed it into a new realm of off the hookedness (in a good way.)
Well done, Kirk.

Cheers buddy, I wanted something with a twist on the standard suicide king, it all comes from the story that is forming with these girls, hopefully I find the time to write it down haha

I really like the art in this deck.
But I think it was a misstep to do the deck in black and red instead of the original "aged linen" and sepia-style inks. All things being equal, I think your art (including all the small details in the background) is far better represented when not using the extreme contrast (and in my opinion, gimmicky-ness) of the black/red design.
I also agree with a previous comment that said that it would be cooler to tie the two halves of each court card together a bit more, instead of just splitting them with a line. The QoH plays with this idea a bit, and I would love to see that developed more.
But with the less refined-looking black and red, this deck would be a no go for me, unfortunately.
