according to Syd, depending on what you ordered some have been shipped already...and they "are hoping to start sending out orders containing Dealer Dozens tomorrow and Wednesday. We have been waiting on the decks to be signed by Fulton."
They are also still available on the D&D website for $7.77 a deck if you wanted to buy from the original source and not pay the reseller prices...

Well, I got these finally. The stock is stiffer than the orange/brown decks. I don't like the smooth finish, these don't fan evenly either, not much of an improvement over the original decks with the crappy cambric/air cushion finish.

oh crap! Jujuforce (Playingcardz) said that the new print run of the orange/brown Ace Fultons would be much better and improved.
Now i read your post about the blue/red being smooth finish and handle crappy like the first run......aaaarghs!
Well,my order should be here within a week or so and then i will check myself, but your posting doesn´t get me excited to get my hands on them

I don't agree with alric, they handle very nicely, but yes they are smooth, thus won't fan as perfectly as a cambric deck, no big surprise here.
That said, I can still do very nice fans with the red/blue decks, that says alot knowing my crappy fan skills xD

I just got them and I love them. The Midnight Fuel said Ivory Finish as well but it was not Ivory at all.... These are the real Ivory finish... Smooth, nice to handle, classy, different. I love 'em. You could compare them to the Aladdins, but they're a bit thinner.

Wow, sometimes I feel like Dan or Dave could draw playing cards with their left hands using crayons and cut them with scissors and sell them and some people will still think they are the most amazing cards ever produced! These decks have a smooth finish and do not fan evenly. Can you fan them? Of course. Can you get perfectly even fans consistently? Probably not, and this doesn't have anything to do with skill, but on the physical properties of the deck. These definitly don't compare to any Ellusionist or Theory 11 deck with an Air-Cushion/Magic finish - not even close. You probably wouldn't be able to notice how even the fans are anyways since the white borders are so fat that one-handed fans are mind-numbingly boring. Yet some people think these compare to Jerry's Nuggets? Maybe the only thing in common is that neither JNs or Ace Fultons's fan well.
But hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinions and if you think these cards are like JNs, great. But please don't mislead people into thinking these decks are great for fanning. There's a difference between "handling" nicely and fanning. Just about any deck can "handle" and cut well, but fanning depends greatly on the finish, and the smooth finish on these cards don't lend themselves to great fanning.

But you cannot deny that they are great for cuts and magic as the doubles stay together pretty well. The bright backs also attract some attention while not grabbing too much attention. The little subtleties around the deck can also act as nice reveals.

honestly the worst thing about the red and blue decks are their price; there is no way they should be over 7$. otherwise they feel just like aladdins but recolored face cards are nice and i like the back more than i do 1001's. ill still have to use these more to see if they end up clumping terribly bad like aladdins do for me.
EDIT: spelling.

As far as decks with smooth finishes go, Aladdins are probaby among the better fanning decks. But yeah, most smooth finished decks just don't hold up as long as dimpled decks and get clumpy sooner rather than later. After playing around with the red & blue Ace Fulton's, I'd say they're a little worse than Aladdins. You basically have to wash your hands each time before handling these to avoid them getting super clumpy quickly. I think the only smooth finished deck I would say is a really good fanning deck is the Steamboat deck. And that's probably because the edge to edge full-bleed back design conceals clumpiness and uneven fanning better.
The other problem with smooth finished decks is that you can't powder them. Once an Air-Cushioned deck gets some hard use and age to them, you can re-condition the finish (there's a must see video from Pred on this) and powder them and they have a second life.

Today i have recieved my order from D&D...3 weeks later ...but better then never.

Surprisingly those smooth decks handle great! They handle sooo much better then the orange/brown decks they had released earlier this year.
I played around with them for 2 hrs and they still handle great.Okay its autumn and my hands are not sweaty like in the summer but a bit of oil from your hands will
stay on the cards.
I like them ...the last smooth deck i had handled was the Johnny Cupcakes deck.It clumped up really fast...maybe its magic finish on the Ace Fultons?
I recommend the blue&red ones. Now i´m curious how the supposed new orange & browns are handling.

I purchased a pair of the original Orange/Brown decks, and a full set plus one of each finish of the new four decks. The new ones do handle better, so much so that I ordered more to have a full opened set and two sealed sets. My only complaint is the "red" has more pink than I would like.

So, a few weeks later. What's the consensus on the finish and handling on these cards? I can say that the smooth ones handle light years better than my original orange, but I have not really used the new deck extensively.
I'm intrigued by the idea of a smooth finish deck (I think you can pack more subtle detail into a smooth deck that won't get lost in the dimples of an air-cushion) but handling is still very important. I'd be interested in perspectives from folks that have been using these for a little while.

ive been using one every single day without washing my hands or anything like that to preserve handling and they still handle great. yes, of course they don't fan perfect 20 min after use, but really not a lot of decks do. As for cuts; this deck is perfect.

Couldn't agree more. They hold up pretty well in humid weathers like Singapore too.

Good to know, thanks for your perspectives. I'm gonna have to keep playing with mine and see how it feels. I'm not an advanced cardist, so it's a little harder for me to judge all-out performance.
Sounds promising though, perhaps my next deck will try something smooth like that...who knows?

I don't know why people say a deck cuts well. ANY deck basically can cut well. Cutting a deck is to separate it into smaller packets, which has much more to do with the dexterity of the cardists and almost nothing to do with the actual properties of the deck. IMO, a deck affects performance in 3 areas: 1) the finish for fans/spreads, 2) stiffness/thickness of stock for springs & durability, 3) color and design for visual appeal.
As for the design of the Ace Fultons, that's more subjective so no need to comment there. The stock is good, not too thin yet reasonably stiff. As for the finish, its a smooth finish deck. It fanned better than the originals (but almost any deck made by man fanned better than the originals) but will never fan as smoothly or evenly as any deck with an Air-Cushion/Magic finish. So not only do these not fan as well as a standard Bicycle Rider Back deck fresh out of the box at the beginning, it also predictably started clumping faster than an Air-Cushion deck as well. And since this deck has a smooth finish, you can't re-condition it or powder it to revive its fannability, either.

I dont really like casino style or the ace Fulton decks to begin with. I am not in to 2 decks in a drug store style double box. This is what the generic 2 pack cheap cards come in and that is what this looks like.
Some of the other single tucks have had much better color schemes and looked pretty nice.
