Hmmm, I'm hoping this isn't a scam, but it seems the creator has the same cards on Indie GoGo: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aris ... ying-cards

That's odd. They've also raised 20K on Gogo but that campaign doesn't seem to offer the brickbox. Is it common for a launch on both platforms so close together?

Can't say I've ever seen it happen at all.

So maybe I'm in for my first non fulfillment on KS then. Hooray.

Got a response back from the project creator: "not all backers from Kickstarter could make a pledge. We decided to give them a chance to order ARISTO SPPC via Indiegogo." Still not sure how I feel about that, but I'm only in for a one deck pledge so here's hoping for the best.

That's a bizarre reason to run a subsequent campaign on a different platform. Wouldn't their "chance" to order come when the product is offered at retail, like any other campaign out there? It seems completely unrealistic, like this example would be:
"Oh, hey, Gio! I forgot that I don't have money to pay my pledge. Is there any way you can run Monolith on IndieGoGo so I can back it when I have money in my account?"
This is purely speculation, but I am thinking they underestimated costs, perhaps with the custom brick box. They didn't want to alarm KS backers but needed to raise more cash. I may just be talking out of my ass, but the water sure is getting murky over there...

I'd say that's highly plausible.

I hate it when project creators run a subsequent campaign on Indiegogo, even after they exceeding their funding goal by a large percent on KS. I don't see it happen much with playing card projects, but it's not uncommon for other types of projects. It just seems to me that this delays fulfillment for KS because they always wait for the IG campaign to finish before working on manufacturing and fulfillment, and then once the items are finally manufactured, they fulfill both campaigns at the same time, even though KS finished first. I've even seen project creators run an IG campaign after KS with lower pledges for the IG campaign. When the KS backers complained, the project creator said he could offer lower prices on IG because the increased volume from IG added onto what he's making from the KS campaign got him an additional volume price break. When the KS backers demanded the same price break with partial refunds, he said he couldn't do anything about that because the KS was finished already and all the funds were locked and he can't change tiers anyways.

Aristo also asked backers to PM delivery address as opposed to using the backer kit. Assuming the worst at this point.

I’ve reminded them to use the KS built-in survey and they shifted to that pretty quick instead of pm. I wouldn’t worry too much

I just got my decks in from Kickstarter. I really like the artwork. The number cards are especially interesting. Standard tuck box and cards, fully custom cards. USPCC printed. Nice and will not break the bank.

I also just got mine, although the numbers are repetitive, the art on the court cards are just absolutely bonkers! Every character is highly detailed to the little nuts and bolts and gears.
