Thanks for all these pictures, effectively making me regret my life choices, and not budgeting to fit the convention into my schedule...

Why does there have to be 6 NPCD decks? I see lots of ramen in my future.

Why does there have to be six NPCCD decks? I don’t think you need all six, but that is probably Alex showing restraint from last year’s five (six) pair sets. I must say these are even more stunning than last year and should not be eclipsed by any other reveals last night. I am so in for this set! Take my money Alex! Bravo!

As an avid chess player, these are a must have for me. I guess I can look on the bright side and see it as killing two birds with one stone.

Any Images of the 52+ Joker 2018 deck?

So not to many photos today with the releases taking place last night.
This morning was the first of three auctions and a raffle. Getting ready to listen to a presentation on card symmetry here in a few minutes.

Jackson did have these on display on his table this morning.

Nice. Were you able to handle one of those Intaglio decks? I wonder how they feel. Oh, could you just pick up that black and gold deck on your far right for me?

does anyone know if there will be some sort of post or announcement of when/where we could purchase these? I knew nothing of collecting last year so I'm not sure how this goes.

They were a part of a Kickstarter campaign. I didn't know Jackson made some extras, but it looks like he did make some extras for sale. As you can see from the convention prices, they are not cheap.

I meant the NPCD decks, unless I am misunderstanding and those Intaglio ones are.

I am sure we will hear more details very soon regarding the general sale of the 2018 NPCCD decks. Last year I believe they were released to purchase on a website at 12:01AM on 10/17. It may be something like that again. The past two have been very limited issues, so they will likely go fast.

Just spoke with Alex about the NPCCD decks. He has not posted much about them yet, but did say in the next day or two they will be available on his website. Be on the lookout. It is hard for him to update the site while here at the convention.

As for Jackson’s Gallery Edition Set of Intaglio decks, the decks here are just for display. He is selling them, for the same prices as listed on the KS campaign. But he did not have all the elements of the sale. If someone buys a set, he will ship it once he returns home. The decks for sale are not extras or reprints, they are the decks that did not sell during the campaign.

In other news, Lance Miller is here. Overheard him speaking about his latest collaboration with VXD! Exciting stuff. The images I was able to spy from his phone look amazing. He said they should be launching soon. I’m very excited for this.

I have failed to mention or send photos of the 2018 52+Joker Club deck. So here it is.
Designed by Randy Butterfield, who was also here at the convention. Very nice and friendly fellow. Glad I got to meet him. Here is a couple photos of the deck. One unique features of the deck is the back of the tuck folds down and there is a slot that holds a single card that has all the convention meeting places and dates of the past. He mentioned that it was designed as a perk to the single card collectors and the merging of the Chicago Card collectors with 52+ Joker. If I can find an open deck here I will try and post more pics.

I absolutely LOVE that back tuck case design on the 2018 52+Joker Club deck - most particularly how well Randy was able to merge the silhouetted skyline of Chicago and Cleveland so seamlessly together - very well done - and, being a native Chicago girl myself, I can't help to love that he also included the bean in there! Hits me right in the heart and brings on those sweet home Chicago feels <3 <3 <3

Last day of the convention. Lotrek spoke today. Very insightful for me. A short look into the mind of a Master! He spoke a little about his decks already produced, but most intriguing to me was a demonstration of how he designs and where he draws inspiration. During is presentation, he showed a picture he took of a door he saw in New York a few days ago. A nice enough door, but pretty plain by my eyes. In other words, nothing that my simple mind would have ever given a second thought. He demonstrated his ability to take that initial pic/idea through an amazing back design. I found in pretty incredible.

That was the highlight for today, the trading room is closed up and those of us that remain are getting ready for the dinner. During dinner they will announce the winners of the Diamond awards. I will try to post the results as they happen.
