Thanks for asking. Either of them is okay. Looking to place an order on Amazon before we enter stage 3 lockdown here in Melbourne.
For indie standalone series I would recommend the following: Rising Stars, Midnight Nation (both by JM Straczynski if you like his writing style) and the Red Star.
Also Kingdom Come , Marvels + Eye of the camera (sequel to Marvels) if you haven't already read them. Jeff Smith's Bone and Rose are also 2 great collections which belong to any library. My kids love Bone.

Best limited comic series of all-time. As I have probably said before...

Thanks Eric. I didn't know of any of the above except one. I placed an order for Kingdome Come yesterday, looking forward to reading it soon.

Finally watched Joker... Solid but as expected didn't live up to the hype, not even close. Great performance though from Joaquin Phoenix.
Watched The Gentlemen from Guy Richie the same evening, way better.

That's definitely good news. I am a bit irritated as they likely waited until now just to boost HBO Max exposure (which happens to be launching next week) but at least the Snyder Cut is happening. Thanks for sharing
This news made me win a 100 bucks bet with one of my mates

Apparently this has been in the works since November. The logistics have been, at least. I really can't blame a company for trying to boost its performance, though.
There are a few coincidences. The Snyders have been on-record as saying that it needed to be announced now, because VFX studios are in need of work, and the ones they initially worked with in post-production still have all of the Snyder Cut material. They don't want anyone going under and losing that footage.
All in all, I was heavily invested in and fought for this campaign. It's a ridiculously sweet victory for me/us.

Noice. I'm pretty sure I made a bet with someone on an online comic forum - but I can't remember who/what.

There's also talk about releasing the Ayers cut of Suicide Squad after the Snyder Cut... maybe.
I have not dog in that hunt, but I'm always interested in seeing what the director originally intended, and unlike the Snyder Cut, the Ayers Cut was already finished. He presented his version of the movie, they told him to intercourse off, they would take it from there, and then they re-edited the hell out of it (to obviously ridiculous results.) I'm curious as to whether the originally presented version was better. I have to assume it was at least more coherent.

What's interesting the most, to me, is whether or not the Ayer Cut followed Snyder's plan. Originally, Steppenwolf was to be Suicide Squad's villain. Enchantress was going to be their secret weapon to defeat him. The Mother Boxes were going to be involved rather than some hip-moving blue sky beam.
Am I interested in seeing more of that Joker? Hel no. I am still interested in seeing where the chips lie with the rest of the film, though.

Pity Josh Trank isn't interested in his director's cut version of the FF. Gotta still be better than that Fantastic Farce

Touching up on this: Ayer has stated that they never filmed anything for Steppenwolf, so there's no chance he is in the Ayer Cut.
”There’s a great scene—it’s not in the movie, it was cut short—where I carry the Vulture out of the flames when he nearly dies and I rescue him,” Holland recalled, “and I lay him down on the sand and he says, I think the line was ‘Why did you save me?’ And I’m like, ‘because I’m Spider-Man,’ and then he goes, ‘But I’m Batman!’”

After Endgame, I feel like there's nothing I'm really looking forward to anymore. Something about the whole Avengers arc with the anticipation of the next movie, even standalones, was just incredible.
Black Widow will probably be good, but the character is dead, so it'll have no impact on the continuity. Eternals is probably the next one that might lay the groundwork for something new, but who knows.

MCU's 3rd Spider-Man is the only film in continuity that piques my interest. All of Phase 4 will be too complex and relatively boring (at the same time). Infinity Saga was truly something special. They won't be able to replicate that hype/success unless they pull off some mega Team vs Team buildup (like X-Men and The Avengers vs Doctor Doom and Apocalypse).
This is Worlds of DC's time to shine. With the Snyder Cut due for next fall, Affleck back in shape, and allegedly contracted to appear as Batman in future Snyder-produced films (The Flash)... Cavill is also in talks to reprise his role as Superman, and rumors of Man of Steel 2, and appearing in Black Adam and/or SHAZAM 2... They can capitalize on the sensational hole that fans will be looking to fill. Will they? WB needs to get their shit together, first. Justice League Proper is a step in that direction.
Hugely encouraging: Zack Snyder has been working on Justice League full-time since it's been announced. I know that he has other projects, like Army of the Dead. I didn't know they're completed or on-hold.

A clip from Zack Snyder's Justice League is expected to be shared this weekend.
Allegedly, a full trailer will be shared on August 22nd.

Wonder Woman 1984: The new trailer is underwhelming. Gives me no additional interest to see it.
The Batman: Trailer looks very good, tone-wise. Pattinson has the appearance of a good Bruce Wayne, but I am unconvinced that he can act a good Batman.
Justice League: Wow. A fantastic teaser. The hype is real.

Even when I disagree with him, I always appreciate good commentary from "The Critical Drinker." His thoughts on the new Snyder Cut trailer are perhaps not groundbreaking, but they mesh with my own sentiment about how, if this goes well, it could be a harbinger of even more good things to come.
