Thanks for all your comments!

Remember, I made the classic design in one color, then added colors and details.

Perhaps when I add details, it stops working as expected.

-- I try to add some borders to a borderless design
-- I add too many lines/details
-- I use a limited colors palette for this back

But I do wont to produce a classic back as I have some ideas. Colorful back is plan B

:ugking: OMG :ugking:

It's a half of all versions. "BACK GREEN - nEW copy 4" is my current

This back is killing me. It's 100% that the old classic back design does not work for this deck. And finally, I found how to fix it. I posted work in progress screenshot on Instagram Stories.
It will be classic and similar to what you have seen, but different.

I am not sure about 07/Sep launch date

Ok. I'll show you something. I like stripes, so I created a couple of back designs in new green colors. Don't take it seriously please I need this for my pleasure when I am stuck.

I don't understand why @Bruno is banned from this forum and @theCapraAegagrus is still here and posting his useless shit in all threads. Even after I politely asked to stop doing this.

My request is reasonable as I need to focus on work and avoid seeing trash at least in this thread.

If you like a bellow zero quality of some posts, my motivation is going down and I don't want to post anything here. Should I still produce a deck? I don't know.

Bruno is banned because all he did was; 1. Post gibberish, and; 2. Antagonize Victor (among other people) while he was a regular. There's only 1 other law-abiding user (sinjin) who doesn't like me and he has me on ignore. The others don't follow the rules and are/were constantly warned/suspended.

You may think your request is reasonable, but I don't. I think your threat of not completing design, and subsequently pulling the mods from your pocket, is in extremely bad taste. If you loved UC, you would nurture it, and not threaten it. Very bad publicity IMO.

Don't worry, though. I won't pledge for the deck(s), and I won't post on this thread anymore.

1. Any request is reasonable. 2. I did not ask mods to remove your post. Sit and relax.

"Very bad publicity" is to see your posts here. Your behavior is terrible for the reputation of the forum. Just IMHO.

Nobody should have the power to make rules for their own threads, particularly dumb and nonsensical ones. That isn't okay. It IS funny to see two of the most hard-headed and similar people here pitted against eachother though!

Side note: I didn't realise Bruno was banned, even though I did notice he was gone, what fantastic news :D, he brought shame to Australia every time he vomited his psychosis onto his keyboard.

For the record I also have theCapraAegagrus set to ignore, don't need that endless stream of negativity. Unfortunately in cases like this I end up being exposed to it anyway.

In an attempt to get the thread back on topic I have to say I would prefer at most two decks with Green being the primary color for obvious reasons.

Hi, all. I hope you will indulge me for just a moment as I follow a very quick detour before getting back to the discussion about the Annual Deck.

My sister, who is two years younger than I, was at some point fairly recently diagnosed with a form of synesthesia. She told me the technical name, and I have forgotten (I have something called Selective Amnesia When It Comes To Things My Sister Tells Me), but the long and the short of it is that it's a sensory processing disorder that can trigger associations of one kind of sensory input with others. Some people see numbers as colors, or taste flavors as sounds. I'm not explaining it properly, and I don't really understand it, but you get the general gist. The point is, it's a sensory processing alignment that is different from what most people experience. Kind of like the way cilantro is a yummy spice for most people but tastes like soap to super-tasters.

Anyway, my sister and I have a very healthy relationship as grown-ups even though we didn't travel much in each other's worlds as kids. However, if there's one thing she absolutely can't stand, it's animated gifs in our text exchanges -- something that the iPhone introduced more recently than the Android or facebook messaging apps, so it wasn't ever an issue for us until recently. As I've learned how to insert animated gifs into text conversations, I have found them to be a fun spice to add to the mix in many of my text conversations, but HOLY COW my sister hates them. HATES HATES HATES them. My sister, who has one of the most wickely funny and brutal senses of humor I've ever encountered. I'm coming to understand that, in her case at least, this knee-jerk reaction is very likely related to her synesthesia. Something which wasn't even diagnosed in her until recently, but which is a condition she has always had.

My initial response to her when she asked me to stop was to send a couple more, because ha ha, you're being unreasonable and isn't this funny. Except, she was serious, and I realized that, yeah, she's being entirely reasonable. She was laying the ground rules for the best way to communicate with her, and so... I don't use animated gifs in my text conversations with her. And we continue to enjoy fantastic conversations, and all is well.

So, yeah. I get the response to the request to cut it out with the gifs as being "you're over-reacting" or "come on, can't you see we're having fun here?" I totally get it. But, for whatever reason, the animated gifs are interfering with our otherwise awesomely positive conversations here with Alex.

I have a friend who is a super taster, and he simply can't imagine that people like me enjoy cilantro. I, on the other hand, love cilantro and cook with it often. But, if my friend is over and I'm serving food, I simply don't serve food with cilantro. Trying to slip some cilantro into the salsa isn't funny; it ruins the whole experience for him. This is how I take it to be with animated gifs and at least one member of the UC.

While I will continue to post memes on the UC as I have in the past, I'm fine with refraining from the animated varieties, and especially on this thread. I cherish Alex's contributions to the forum, and I don't want to alienate him from the conversation. I want him to be super comfortable coming here and teasing us with the latest images of his tasty creations.

And, unlike JuFiN above,

I WANT ALL THE COLORS!!! I WANT ALL THE BACKS!!!

Thank you for attending my TedTalk.

I love the green and purple versions. The yellow wouldn't be my first choice but it's so popping, I would still buy one. And while I'm usually #teamborderless, I prefer the bordered backs for this design.

Thank you, Allan! It's very interesting and to the point!

I am not a prim young lady, and I don't set dumb rules. I don't set rules at all. I overreacted on theCapraAegagrus and quality of some posts on UC after working 18 hours a day in the last week. I probably need to rest a couple of weeks and postpone Kickstarter to a later date. It's absolutely okay if you say anything against me and my design! I never(!) upset as It's always fun and interesting to read negative reviews or criticism. When I read such things, I learn. But if you have nothing to say, please don't waste our time. I lose my focus when I see gifs, and as a result, I close this page and post nothing. It's easy to avoid, but I should keep posting here :D

So It's just a simple workflow improvement!

I'll back to the topic.

1. Why don't I want to produce my 2nd (Classic back)? It does not work well for the deck when I decided to change heads on K/Q/J. I have printed 30 different design variations (courts + backs), and I know this for sure. The back is not bad at all, but not for this deck. I may release this back under one of the Creative Commons licenses, and you'll print your own deck (with your courts )at MPC for personal use.

2. My original colorful back - I LOVE IT!!! It's much better and different when printed. Love the Purple! I"ll produce this back later as I am not sure what to do with foil on this back. It's fantastic even without foil. But I need a classic design for this campaign.

3. I have created a new classic back. It works extremely well! Also, what I like - it is very well balanced, so it's impossible to update it or change a design without losing the overall vibe. :geek: I'll post it later today. It's green  I have not tested other colors yet.

We are in a rush. It's my fault. But it does not mean that we should produce something that does not fit the project.

It's simple but perfectly balanced. It was impossible to use flowers in this design. I'll also replace my bright reds on courts to match the color scheme.
I'd like to see more rounded corners, but I am not sure if Cartamundi can do it. Do you think it's a good idea?

Colors will be darker when printed. The foil will also reduce saturation.

That's it. I'll keep working to launch soon.

This classic back works way better than the previous one! Fantastic improvement. Now, I still prefer the borderless design, and hope you'll still priduce it for this campaign, but at the same time I hope this is not a 3, 4 or 5 decks campaign that would really kill it for me.

Still I think that you should produce some of the other bqcks and crazy colors, but not for this campaign.

Err...

The term everyone is thinking of is most commonly rendered as WASP - White Anglo Saxon Protestant. It's mildly derogatory but not exactly a slur. The other term that somehow came into play is properly spelled wop - according to Merriam Webster, derived from Italian guappo, which means something like "dandy" - and is a straight up slur for Italian Americans, especially in the northeast US. Should probably be careful about slinging that one around too freely.

I would guess that what's meant here was a typo for WIP, Work In Progress, since this deck is much more a WIP than...either of those other two things.

What a weird detour, guys. :ugthink:
