This guy is a regular seller on Ebay but I would have to agree the price is a bit steep on this one.
The forum for Cardistry, Magic, Custom Decks and All Things Playing Cards.

may not belong to this thread, but can someone educate me a little bit on why these are so expensive?
Huh, and that's by Playingcards.net, Gambler's online store. When did they start smoking something that serious?
This same garbage is currently available for "only" $38 on kickstarter, right now. It's a hilarious ripoff at that price, but apparently mediocre decks with excessive packaging material are such a hot commodity that you can get a 300% ROI right off the bat. What a wonderful world.

Actually, he's got a few crack-y items, but this seemed the crackiest. Can't say he's lost his marbles, although some are for sale.

Not really on crack imo. 2,900/500 makes it $5.80 per deck. Which is okay/reasonable.hikeeba wrote:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Playing-Cards- ... SwCy5cj6f0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not sure where to start, but make sure not to give a non sense bid or ask to break up the set.....
That math assumes potential bidders would either a) want all 500+ decks or b) believe they could offload any unwanted decks at cost. With a collection this large and this eclectic, it doesn't seem likely to me that any potential purchasers would be interested in more than a fraction of them - maybe a fifth? Possibly less, considering the described condition of the decks?shiroo56 wrote:Not really on crack imo. 2,900/500 makes it $5.80 per deck. I totally agree. It's just that I wouldn't say the seller is on crack.Merlebird wrote:That math assumes potential bidders would either a) want all 500+ decks or b) believe they could offload any unwanted decks at cost. Reading the description, it sounds like the impetus behind the listing is desperation, which is probably why the seller didn't do the sensible (but more labor-intensive) thing and parcel the collection into smaller lots of related items. I feel for the guy, but I just don't see this lot selling at this price.
Okay... this qualifies for crack...Bradius wrote:I just pulled up the seller. They have....22,506 items for sale on ebay.
The equivalent of listing both Silk decks and disclaiming that they will be packaged with a dog turd.shiroo56 wrote:Not exactly on crack, but I love the fact that someone tries to sell both Silk together with 2 fontaines
