Were the Redemption decks that people are posting about part of either of the Patreon packages for 2021 or 2022? I had to bow out for 2023 so am out of the loop. Asking because I have not received any shipping notification that I know of, but not sure if I was supposed to receive one to begin with.
Thanks.

You will receive one Silk Red Test print in a Redemption tuck as well as a Silk Gold/Silver Test print in a Redemption tuck for free if you were a Year 1 and/or Year 2 patreon. Lotrek recently did a sale for those who wanted to buy extra decks or are Year 3 patreons and wouldn't get one for free. They were 50€ each.

Moving forward, there will be a Redemption deck each month that Lotrek delays his Patreon packages. I believe he found an ingenious way to package out his test prints. Tracking numbers were made end of December but it appears decks started to ship today from Greece.

Are you sure it's Gold/Silver and not Gold/Gold? I thought the Gold/Gold were for those who didn't order any extras. If you bought an extra, only then are you getting a Gold/Silver, or so I thought.

Either way, you're right, the correct number of decks we should be receiving soonish assuming no extra orders is 2: Silk Test Red and Silk Test "another foil combo", both Patreon exclusives. Following that, Patrons (very likely already complete), the "acceptable" version of Red Silk, and the "acceptable" version of the gift deck should be sent. Otherwise, more Redemption decks lol.

You look to be correct. I went back and verified. Lotrek lays it out clearly but it can still be confusing.

I got a email notification for Redemption ONE deck. I didn't bother putting in the tracking number for whatever post service it was for though it probably is inactive. The gold/gold deck is for free, gold/silver deck had to be purchased or automatically came if you ordered 2-3 decks.

If I order Redemption TWO deck(s), Redemption ONE decks will be sent out with it instead.

Below is one of the screenshots I have that's useful to keep track.

Seems like a good plan. I love Lotrék but it's not worth the hassle to wait for literally ages. Three is a charm but at the end of this period three years will be enough for me personally. Lorenzo will be my only Patreon moving forward from then.

I'm a bit dumb-founded.... 2 decks for 45$/month? The rationalizations are to just give for support and not because you should expect anything in return? Why not give him 100$/month and get zero decks? Or better yet, give that 100$ to someone who actually needs it? How about he gives me 100$ for zero decks.... strange how things are valued. We have but one life to live. Will you work to make his life better or yours? Donate your money to the hungry if you want to donate it. Anyways, just some silly ramblings.

Drewser, I am not sure who or what you are even talking about. The only tier Lotrek has for anything close to $100/month is the highest tier, Asylum. In this tier you get Exclusive Patron Edition deck (4 copies) and"Patrons" Playing Cards (8 decks). That is 12 decks per year. I am in the Manic tier for $55/month which is Exclusive Patron Edition deck (2 copies) and "Patrons" Playing Cards (4 decks), or 6 decks per year. If you have ever purchased Lotrek's high end foiled decks, they are in the $100+ per deck range when purchased directly from him.

I don’t think you understand Bradius what Drewser is implying is that we’re not getting what we’re paying for.

He’s saying should we work to make his life better or your own

It has nothing to do with how many decks for $100 or even $55 a month he’s saying why not give the money to something else considering what we actually received

Since being apart of his Patreon I’ve received 3-4 decks that I didn’t have to par-take in another online sale which is why im considering on leaving as well

Not worth the money even if lotrek decks are $100 for sale on his site cause he used “high end foil” rotfl 🤣

get a grip his production problems should’ve been cleaned up by now (like he told us) but it seems his continuous delays due to changes he didn’t like (ALL THE TIME) are what ppl being fed up with.

How many times do you have to change things to only resell the bad decks in different tucks? How many editions are needed before it’s “good… no great!” -lotrek

now oath Standard Players to be released, 2 versions of course (for sale & not included to Patreon’s btw?) but still can’t manage to complete year1 deck royal red or purple decks. You ever ask yourself these questions or do you only look at the rainbow colors

It sucks that everyone who is unhappy is being forced at gunpoint to keep paying Lotrek like some prisoners :(

I get not being happy with the delays. Nobody is happy and I'm sure everyone wants their decks. But Patreon is literally a way to support an artist. He was upfront about what you'll get, which I'm sure everyone will get what they were promised. And he was upfront about delays. There's no surprises here.
He’s saying should we work to make his life better or your own
This is just a silly thing to say about an optional Patreon that nobody is forcing you to be a part of. Everyone works to make their own life better. I support Lotrek's work so I can enjoy his decks when they deliver. It's not a donation to make Lotrek's life better at the expense of my own. If you feel like your life is worse off because you were a part of his Patreon, you should cancel it as soon as possible.
How many times do you have to change things to only resell the bad decks in different tucks?
I think you forgot that Lotrek runs a business and when he invests money into printing cards, if they don't turn out well, a business may try to recoup costs. He was upfront that these were the test prints. Again, nobody forcing you to buy them. I don't like tests prints so I didn't buy them. Some people look for things to be mad about it seems. You don't like it, don't buy it. You don't like his Patreon, don't subscribe. If you cant stand waiting for decks, wait for them to be on ebay. Done, just solved all your problems. 👍🏻

that not what were saying... its funny how many boards are like this
its like no one can have an option around here thats negative and can only support the positive and keep the windows rosey eh mods?

im trying to understand what your saying but what about the ppl that are paying and are a patreon and are waiting on decks?? what is your excuse now.. "I support Lotrek's work so I can enjoy his decks when they deliver." -bdawg923

just cause you come out and say "he was up front about it" doesnt mean Oathpcc should continue to run "his business" so decelerated

I said,
how many times does he need to change things before we get the "right" update??
how many decks does he need to create to SELL back to us??

nobody is forcing me to buy anythign, you're right there! but when you continuously see decks being produced on our dime, then sold back to the public -how is that fair to anyone that does support him

btw, he did also started patreons to produce decks remember... It's not just to support him and the craft you and him like. He made that a-bluntly clear to when he started this buy saying we'd see decks. 4decks for 2yrs doesn't cut it for $45/month x400+ patreons

Nobody is discounting your opinion because it's negative, we just don't agree with it. This is simply a discussion with differing points of view, there's nothing disparaging about it. You may not like the way certain views are being expressed, but personally, I don't see anyone showing anyone else any disrespect

People have different reasons for supporting artists. They may want the rewards promised on Patreon. Maybe they want to allow them to worry about one less thing and focus on their creativity. Maybe they want to be a part of the design process and become a member of the inner circle. Maybe they simply want to enable greatness. It could be any of these and many more. I assumed the latter were the main reasons that most of his backers supported him.

How many times does he need to change things before we get the "right" update? If I support in order to help push the artist to his limits, however many changes are necessary to make it "right".
How many decks does he need to create to SELL back to us? We're not the main characters. Patreon decks are ours, the rest are for everybody. Nobody is forcing anyone to purchase what they don't want to. Our Patreon membership grants us the privilege of a discount and a first right of refusal, that's it.
Lotrek wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2020 9:27 am By becoming a Patron you’re essentially contributing to the creation of decks that need a huge amount of time in design and production. Your help will be crucial in our effort to produce some decks that will be even more artistically elaborate and unique than what you’ve seen from Oath so far.
Yes, Lotrek was abundantly clear when he started. I'll quote him again, directly from the third Patreon post: "[...] when announcing Oath's Patreon I said the main purpose was to create an environment for the development of decks that are so demanding in terms of artwork and research that wouldn't be possible for me to do without your help. " We have seen decks and we will see decks, but the main reason for Patreon is, from the horse's mouth, to push the limits of his creations.

If waiting is the crux of your frustration, I kind of understand it, but like bdawg said, Lotrek and Melina have been repeatedly up front about the delays from the very beginning. Those who act surprised have not paid attention, because it's been mentioned over and over and over again. Further, let's not kid ourselves; these kinds of delays are exceptional. Let's briefly recap what has happened since the Patreon opened up: Tale of the Tempest, VXD collab on Monte-Carlo, printing services for others, self-fulfillment, COVID, Hellenic post incompetence, and the portion of reprints that were in no way Oath's fault. Apart from the reprints, those are things that are one-offs. You vote with your wallet; if you're not able to stomach anymore patience, you can simply cancel your membership. It really is that simple.

This will be a cool series with different color tucks.

My 1/11/23 post above has the deck listings.

I received a tracking number December 30th 2022 so I guess the decks still might be on their way.

That was just a tracking number created and there was a delay because Lotrek and Melania had to bag the decks as they were too big to be cellophaned. Decks should have gone on the plane to the US on January 11th.

GER 🇩🇪 confirmed.

No tracking (which is a joke most of the times anyways) but a parcel from Hellenic Post today. Even with me correct backer No. Much appreciated Lotrék 😃.
