Okay I found something. Really found something.

Two for His Heels on Rubylane has AN ACTUAL 1890 ORIGINAL "Cartes Indiennes" deck FOR SALE, WITH A BOX THAT IS IN RATHER GOOD CONDITION. If that name does not ring a bell, Grimaud reprinted it in 1986 as "Venise Simplon-Orient Express." This deck is one of the most beautiful decks of playing cards ever created.

The asking price is 350 USD. I have not seen other decks of this kind sold but I think that that is a wickedly good price for this.

Yep, but with common items it can easily lead to a deluge of emails/notifications - plus some of the real hidden deals are when a seller has misspelled a word so the item doesn't come up on regular searches

Given the seller’s feedback and that it has over 3.5 days left, I don’t think it’s suspicious. It is uncommon to see actual auctions with a lower than retail starting price on cards, but if they are still low towards the end, I won’t hesitate to bid.

I purchased a few older decks from this seller. The tucks are not identical to the original. They are also very thick, so it's clear they are not original. I was expecting that the decks I got would be reproductions. One was a transformation, another the Ravenswood. But seeing that he is selling modern decks, I'm pretty sure they will also be reproductions.

For Curator, the ebay posting says "Reprint". I didn't think there was a reprint of this deck.
