Very cool that USPCC has now relaxed their rule on modifying the Bicycle Riderback design. Let's hope CR's 1st and JR's Fed 52 are only the first of more such decks to come.

I think they are not loosen their rules, they just make a collaboration with the artist and sell them on their own website, not everyone can modify the Riderback design

Well.......
Uspcc is balking at my rider back design. When they asked me to do it. >< Not sure what's wrong with them. ... So it turns out they didn't even want the Fed 52 Rider back, they just wanted to reprint the OG Bike fed 52

Worst possible scenario.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

"Now that you've proven there's a market for your designs, would you be willing to let us mass produce it for you and give you pennies on the dollar for each deck we sell?"

Did it go something like that?

Was this from the KWP Discord?

Well, so much for my earlier optimism. JR did a beautiful job with the riderback design. Pity that most likely won't see the light of day. JR should try and get hold of the Cartamundi president like what CR did to get his 1st Collab. I think just 1 look of the back should be enough to get this done!

He indicated on the discord that he would use the back design on a future KWP deck. Not sure how serious he was.

Well, that’s frustrating. I would imagine JR’s Rider Back would sell so many more decks than a reprint of the OG Fed52 😒. I do hope he uses it in a deck he releases, I will definitely get some

Sometimes a small slice of a massive pie is better than a huge slice of a small pie. Given that the USPCC sells more than a hundred million decks of playing cards each year, I imagine they sold more decks last week than Jackson has in his entire career up to this point.

True dat, and fair enough.

And, as long as JR wouldn't be signing over an exclusive license for the design, it really could be a win/win for all concerned if he got a smaller piece of that bigger pie and saw this distributed to the Walmarts and the Walgreens and the Targets and the like....
