Found these at the Goodwill of my new home in beautiful Corvallis, Oregon. Actually, there were a ton of decks. Most were either casino decks or pinochle sized , neither of which I'm interested in. The two Bicycle decks were opened but were in pretty decent shape. The Hiroshige deck will make a great addition to my Asian deck collection. Not bad for $.99 apiece.

I can't get the image to enlarge, Flashcards, but congrats on the find! I believe that the one on the left is one of the two or three decks which I purchased when my first wife and I attended the Olympics in Los Angeles in 1982 (or was it 1984?). One of the decks had custom courts, each with "Sam, the American Eagle" participating in one of the Olympic events. I believe that the faces on the other two decks were standard, except perhaps their Spade Aces and/or their Jokers. I don't recognize the deck in the middle, but I have the "PATRIOTIC:ARMY deck on the right, as well as the PATRIOTIC:NAVY, PATRIOTIC:AIR FORCE and PATRIOTIC:MARINES as well, (IIRC). Again:Nice finds, for 0.99 each!

Olympics in Atlanta was 1996 - my mom lives there at the time.
That deck isn't hard to find, but the pair still in the presentation set is a bear! I have seen the decks themselves for "next to nothing" but the fancy two-deck leather presentation set regularly brings in excess of $100. I saw them "back then", should have bought a case of them, eh?

As I said above, I CAN'T GET THE IMAGE TO ENLARGE, so I could not see any year nor city on the tuck, and mistook it for the tuck used for the Bike deck made for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
And yes, I know that the 1996 Olympics were held in Atlanta - the mother of two of my grandchildren competed there, in what I believe was the first time that Beach Volleyball was an official Competitive Olympic Event.

Sorry about the image not enlarging. I reduced the resolution a little too much. I'll make it larger next time.
The Olympic deck is well used for sure- bowed and a little dirty. They still fan and handle pretty well though. It only has the custom Ace of Spades; everything else is standard. It also includes an ad card on the history of the Olympics as the Atlanta 1996 was the 100th year of the modern Olympics.
The middle deck is a Japanese made deck by Angel. It is reproductions of the famous set of woodblock prints by the artist Hiroshige called "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fifty ... kaid%C5%8D. This deck is in great shape and I'm really pleased with it.
Again, sorry about the technical difficulty.

Apology accepted though not necessary, flash. I have two similar decks, both with just the word "Hiroshige" on their tucks. Great to know more about them - Thanks!

Got a number in the past few months, here's a few that jumped to mind. Especially since it includes 2 white whales for me: the
StrangeLove deck that I was planning on trading rorschach, but as it was put on hold/cancelled to wait for me to dig into my inaccessible storage closet, I did some research on it to find they are
now available directly.

Got 3 actually, keeping 2 and giving one away in the 2015 contest. The other white whale is the
Disney Transformation deck that's been on my list for well over a year and was tipped off by new best friend Slavich

that this one was available direct from Japan.
Others listed are Princess Bride, Tuxedo, 52 Plus Joker 2014 deck (got this one to play with since I don't care open the club decks and my other copy is in the collection), SideShow and Tough Luck.

Wow. I need that Strangelove deck, but they don't ship outside Australia. Any Australians willing to quote me a price for 1 or 2 decks to the US?
... he asked, knowing full well it's going to be a lot.

I live in the US and got it shipped. Send them a request to see if they are still willing to do it. Shipping is a killer, so better to get multiple or coordinate with others and do a group buy.

Ooh, hmm... I can't afford a bulk buy, but I'd be in for a couple if someone else did. I'll shoot 'em an email to see if I can get a quote for different amounts.

If you do hear back, I'd be happy share in the shipping for 2 decks if you don't mind re-shipping to Canada. Thanks.

Hi All, can't actually believe I wasn't a member in these forums; I've been a voyeur for quite some time now!
In answer to your question, I could be your Australian!
Happy to contact the store and ask if they provide discount on bulk purchases, and in parallel enquire into shipping costs to the USA if that is of interest!
Let me know.

Right. Here's the reply I got. Only problem is I don't know whether it's in AUD or USD (logically, it should be AUD because he quotes the deck price in AUD, but... I'm sending a reply to inquire.).
Hey Mike,
Yeah sure we can ship to the US, just for you haha.
Basically 5 decks is around $25 shipping and then it jumps up to around $40 for between 5-10. 12 decks then goes to $49.
Decks are $15 each.
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
JAMES BRUCE

I'm planning on grabbing a brick so that should cover everyone who has requested decks so far. Assuming the price quoted is in AUS, it looks like the total cost of the deck comes out to around $15 USD to get them shipped here. I've messaged them and am waiting on a reply

I have to say that I'm extremely impressed with the local Goodwill. They have a ton of cards and even though most of them don't interest me, just about every time I go in I find one or two decks that do. Most are used but you do find the occasional brand new/sealed deck, all at at really good prices. Here is the score for this week, clockwise from left: OSU Beavers- beat up tuck but otherwise good shape (Go Beaves), Field and Stream Best Guns Ever- same condition, Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists, Reno, 2015- sealed, Amanda Palmer's Evelyn Evelyn-open, Texas Hold 'em for Dummies- sealed, Jeanne D'arc repro deck printed in France- open but in great shape, Coca-Cola-open but good shape, Famous Pirates- same.
The Coca-Cola and Jeanne D'Arc decks are in P52 but the rest are not. I'll work on getting them added as I have time.

Nice haul! Back when I was ambulatory, I used to look for decks in Goodwill stores, but almost NEVER found decks them in which I was interested. Maybe I'll take a trip down to Corvallis!

FireHost Series 4. I've been on the lookout for these for quite a while. Found one on eBay. The tuck looks pretty cool with the red foil. And I like the white cards of this version more than the black cards of the Series 3 deck.
