I was really HOPING that The Emperor Playing Cards made its ways as addons, rather than a new edition with edge printing…
PS: While I appreciate you do Free Shipping to Indonesia on Penguins webstore, but how in the world I can checkout if I don’t have the option to choose the country - as it is not there?
There was enough feedback from a small amount of vocal backers for stretch goals, so after much conversation we decided to offer an additional option.
This is the part that I don’t like - “demand” being part of the problem of too many decks, because some people are asking for it
How is it a problem to have it as a different deck vs "adding on" edge printing. I mean, they are both different decks at that point? How is it different from gilding? I really am puzzled at the negativitiy around it. Paying $17 for a deck plus $5 for edge printing vs $22 for a deck with edge printing is the same thing no? I'm beyond confused.

At least for me, I'm in the early bird which already has a standard deck. I want the edge printed deck. If I could pay $5 to upgrade it to edge printing, then I would. But I wouldn't pay $21 for a 2nd near identical deck. Part of the reason is the good early bird pricing people got. If they want a tier with 1 edge printed, 1 gilded and 1 mini for example, they lose early bird pricing.

How much does the early bird save someone? It varies quite a bit from campaign to campaign. Some campaigns it is only $1, $2, or $3 which I never really care that much about as it is pretty insignificant. At least compared to my overall spending. Other times it is $10 or so depending on the reward level.

For this campaign, it's $3 for the EB - Trio, or $6 for the EB - Trio x2.

Right $3 for the eb. The edges are $4 more than the standard. So switching means paying $7 extra I think
Edit. Wait I might be wrong. Gilded = 27. Edge printed = 21. mini = 13. That's 61. The edges are $4 more than the standard. If it's an addon then eb + edge print = 52+4 =56. So $5 more by dropping out of the eb. Not a big deal, but I'm fine with the standard personally.
Need a math wizz to figure this out for me pls. How'd I get $7

There is a inconsistency in pricing, except the UV deck, all the decks are $1 more as a pledge than they are as an add-on, so snowflake is $26 vs $27.
This means the UV deck is the cheapest to buy-in to make your own bundle.
There is no way to get it on EB without just buying the edge printed
EB trio $52
UV $21+ add-on snowflake $26 +addon Herr INGO $12 = $59
$7 more than you started with.
or $8 if you choose the snowflake as the base pledge

I think I would back if there was a foiled front and back with no gilding version. Don't like gilded decks, the handling, the flaking off, the tacky look of shiny gold paint all turn me off and I already have a couple of decks in the range so I feel my interest in the Odd Fellows is no longer piqued.I'll wait for Lorenzo's next project.
I'm also with you on that I don't care for gilding, I like foiled fronts and backs. I think the white tuck deck that's what we get anyway including the gilding which is good enough for me. I'm not dropping my early bird Trio pledge.

I sold mine; not sure what I was thinking.
