My uncut collection is rapidly becoming an Emmanuel collection too. What are those other collections in the other cases (EDIT - now that I see on PC instead of phone I can see they are some anime style action figure thing I wouldn't know :D )? Also where did you get those ledges the decks are in, or are those custom made by you? I've been looking at something similar from Ikea but those look too big and yours look perfect.

I´m writing this cuz i´m a bit angry about the fact that this could have been easily avoided by writing a low value on the customs label of the tube.
I mean those are playing cards... writing a value of $20 usd is very believable...even $1. It´s not a playstation 4 you´re declaring as a $20 value which no one would believe. That´s just common sense.
The tube arrived on December 20th 2014 in germany and would have been delievered right before christmas but Nope hangs in customs...sucks big time! :x
The problem is that the US customs laws are very precise about marking things below value or "gift" to avoid that. I know it is done all the time, but as far as our government is concerned - if money changed hands, it's a sale.

Maybe sinjin7 can elaborate a bit, but at least two lawyers have pointed out that CrowdFunding doesn't make it a "gift".

As I recall, the fine is $10,000 per violation.

Now, back on topic: better late than never! I wondered what happened to my Heretic Gran Riserva decks, but my trusty post office must have been hiding these. (mailed 15-Dec)

I'm waiting for Lorenzo to post a Heretic campaign update. What could it be?

Those are Funko Pop! Vinyl figures. Cute 4 inch figures of Pop Culture.

Well those ledges are indeed from Ikea.Its the Ribba picture ledge.

@Fes & Ashe Thanks! :)

@Mike
Its the german customs who are we talking about - they could care less about the US Feds. The people who are working in those customs positions are officals and they are usualy pretty lazy.For them a package with a high value is just more paperwork and reporting a false declared value below $1000 hahaha...yeah sure...guess how much paperwork this will be. Seriously i had rather spend the money on Emanuel´s products like one more deck....instead of customs taxes.

It has been sent 6 weeks ago - 4 weeks of that time sitting at the customs office....plus had to pay additional USD 13 customs taxes. :(

Hi Bastian,

Thank you for your support of my work, it means a lot to me. However, I've mentioned previously in our conversation on Kickstarter that I have relatives who work for Customs.

Falsifying information on a customs form is a serious matter and a federal offense, and as Mike pointed out, the penalties can be heavy.

Yep, so it boils down to would you rather have one deck with cheap customs and a designer that is unable to produce anything more because he's either broke or in jail. Or would you prefer to pay the proper amount owed to your own country by their tax laws and have a designer capable of producing more excellent work.

I know I don't want to see Emmanuel (or most other designers) behind bars.

I just want to say that in my (and I would think also cosmic's) country the amounts we have to pay are anything but proper. Not that that makes it okay to break the law, but I felt like it needed to be said :ugthink:

I understand what you are trying to say guys...but please keep in mind what we internationals have to pay on top of your domestic price. (higher priced shipping and customs).
For the next KS projects i´m going to use forwarding services or private persons from the US to avoid such delays/customs fees.

I really need to get a proper little lighting tent and lights...

Anyhow, I finally picked up that Eagle 5 suit deck from USPCC I've been talking about lately here and at PCF. I just love the eagle pips on these, even if this particular deck isn't in the greatest of shape it's pretty good for a 70+ year old deck.

Got my templar decks today that I had ordered overseas. I had also thrown in the Bicycle porcelain deck. The way it was package I guess could have made it looked like a brick of drugs or something because US customs decided to check it out. Thankfully they only ripped open 1 deck

EDIT Almost forgot also got my golden spike set. beautiful product

Yep just thought I might as well grab them before they got even more pricey. Just need that unbranded black reserve note now.

Best chance at that deck is to buy an uncut sheet and dice it. ;) They seldom come up for sale because (as I remember) about 30% (or more) of them were damaged due to the way they were packed for delivery. It was the genesis of "Kings Wild Fulfillment", but Jackson would have to validate my memories. I do remember that he said "he fired" the company.
