Thanks folks, excuse that post at what was 3am over here (what 6 footer can get comfortable sleeping in the front seat of a small/medium car)
We sorted a few things in the morning and then continued our premature journey to Melbourne for Christmas. I wonder when they will let us back as they are now saying that it could burn for weeks!

The danger seems to have passed and Honeybee is allowed back to his hive after 8 days
