Re: UC 2014 Annual decks: "Grotesque" by Lotrek now shipped!

Unread post by UtterFool »

My mixed brick came in.

The standard decks are really nice. I wish I had bought more of those and fewer of the limited.
I am slightly disappointed by the limited. I just feel some of the detail is lost in the brown and grey.
My opinion obviously.

Also I don't know that I have ever seen a blank backed card as an ad card before.

I can't wait to get my brick! Speaking of the Annual UC deck, shouldn't we be hearing about who's lined up to do the 2015 deck?
Well, it's not the lens, it's the photographer and the lack of good lighting, frankly. I can do better, but it's so damned hot I just can't stand opening the blinds right now. I always screw up flash photography, so that's not the solution, either.

The UC2015 Annual Deck artist is classified, and in fact will not be revealed until around the holidays, although I suspect that we will fund the deck (on CL of course) around the middle of October so we can actually celebrate the new year or soon after with the arrival of the decks, rather than be sitting here 3 months after USPCC was supposed to have them to us still waiting on shipping to arrive.

I can say that as of today, the shipping is substantially complete, at least 90%+ anyway. Supposed to be done tomorrow. You'll like my choice for the 2015 deck, quite certain! I don't see how it's possible otherwise.
As far as the pictures go, it's not the wand.. it's the wizard ;)
As for the UC15 deck, three months ago if you told us it would be Jackson, I'd be psyched! Haha j/k j/k... I just hope it's affordable. I would also say I hope it will be beautiful but I know it will be with the talent on here!

I received my two Grotesque decks in the mail yesterday they turned out great (no damage in shipping either)
I did do an add on for the Art Book, but I'm kinda assuming that that will be shipped separately since it's signed

Exactly. Art books and prints will be sent from me here in Berlin next week (Monday-Wednesday).
I'm glad you like the deck! :P

The Decks should be shipped complete today, except some foreign delivery items, all are the onesy twosy odd lots, not matching any other order. The easy ones are professed first, usually.

UC2015 is going to set a new standard, promise. We'll talk soon enough... I guarantee not one of you wants to uses it, and as always being a member here is essential to completing your collection.

Don't miss Lotrek's next deck, Dark Venexiana either. We already are plotting twists and turns. Maybe time to start SWTWC 7?

Got my decks yesterday. They were in a small padded envelope which was then placed inside a larger padded envelope which was doubled over and taped. So, they were well protected and the cards look great. The coin is very nice as well. I was a bit disappointed with the Venexiana coin so I'm glad coinsforanything.com was used. Every coin I've gotten from deck projects who used them have been of the highest quality. Nice job guys!

Oh, I almost forgot. What was the surprise for UC members supposed to be? I remember Lotrek saying he would include something but, since I didn't get anything besides what I ordered,I don't know if I missed any further info on it. Just curious.

I'm glad you like the deck AND the packaging. Venexiana coin was on purpose done like that as I wanted it to be reminiscent of an ancient coin. But coinsforanything.com do great job and I'll be using them for my coins.

As for the surprise, due to production problems I had with Gold Venexiana my schedule was messed up, so you'll get these towards the end of August.

I got confirmation my brick arrived, can't wait to get home and check them out! I'm really hoping these came in better shape than my brick of Origins decks. Its a bit concerning to read that people are still getting their decks in padded envelopes again instead of boxes.
