Besides the current campaign The Parlour and Pride Of Peacocks, which is to be delivered soon, I'm caught up on Kickstarter.



Though Ambassadors Signature was only available on ucdecksales, it was part of the Kickstarter Ambassadors playing addition campaign. I remember there was an update to pick one of two color schemes for the cards. The red version was the winner so I hope it's not too much of an eye sore in person.

Are the Signature editions ever going to hit our hands?
An update to those of us that continue to wait would be greatly appreciated.

Any developments on the Signature edition?

I had many not deadly but very time consuming problems with them and I could not give a trustworthy estimation about when. I'll explain more in a KS update tonight.

We can all be proud of the most delayed Lotrek project ever. It makes other delayed projects look like immediate delivery!

This is such great news. Another family finally brought together! I

I feel another family photo is in order. Unfortunately, a few of these family members are a bit portly and will not fit in a conventional carat box...ah well. I'll figure something out.

Hehe, we all had to get rid of his delays. I have him locked in a dungeon, feeding him only with rusks and water. He works for me now!

Update #5 (Nov 24, 2017) clearly stated the following to us backers that supported Lotrek back then;

“The Signature Edition will be available until the end of the campaign so there is no limit on the number of decks you can get. There is however a strict time limit as after the end of the campaign no Signature decks will be available to anyone from anywhere.”

So my guess would be the after market unfortunately.

As per update today "On July 13th you'll get your tracking numbers while a few days earlier 50 more decks will become available exclusively to backers who may want to add a copy."

Still part of the (incredibly long) campaign, so technically above board. I'll be waiting on details for this because I definitely want one! I was so broke I couldn't even get both colours at the time and I still haven't found a red one to make up for it so this would do nicely.

For those not getting the update, he also posted some photos I will repost here. The delay was a problem in cutting the edges. He was getting an unacceptable amount of chipping on the edges, and simply having a super sharp blad wasn't helping. It turned out he had to have a "just right" or goldilocks sharp blade that was sharp, but not too sharp to cut without chipping. (I keep having visions of Poindexter in his lab). Anyway, the final photos are stunning.





Just to remind everyone. These were supposed to have been the standard cards produced by EPCC, but Lotrek couldn't get them through Greek customs and the remaining decks in Taiwan were destroyed in a fire. So, Lotrek had to make a special run just for the Signature decks in Greece.

The beatings will continue until morale improves. I don't know about your morale Lotrek, but I will be smiling when these bad boys arrive wraped in Greek stamps!

I missed that bit. Oh, that would be nice to pick up another one. In going back to the older Kickstarter updates, the Signature edition decks were priced at $55/$65 each depending on if you bought them through a sales site on United Cardiists or through Kickstarter.

EDIT: Lotrek, since there are only 50 extra signature decks, would you please consider limiting orders of these 50 extras to just one per backer (there are 406 backers of the project according to Kickstarter, but likely a few dropped out because of failed payment and such) at least for the first hour or so after you release them? I am assuming we will get additional details as it gets closer to the release.

Yes, please limit to 1 per backer and allow those of us who missed out on the Signature ed to do addons. Can we also hope for split time releases. 30 and 20 sounds reasonable no?

Signature arrived in US today. I have no pictures, sorry, but more amazing work from Lotrek from his 2017 cutting edge work. It's jaw dropping to see this and how he keeps pushing himself with decks like SILK and the foil intricate decks. Thanks!

Since I have the exact same pics as Vasta, I present to you pics of an unopened Ambassadors hehehe

What? Only One foil color on the tuck? Pfft!

When are the extras going on sale?

Were the cards the same as in the regular decks, and only the tuck was changed? Or, were the cards changed, too?

These were custom printed cards specially made for these few decks. That was not Lotrek's intent when he sold them. Unfortunately, Greek customs wouldn't let them in without an invoice and he couldn't seem to get anything satisfactory, so they rejected them. Also, all remaining inventory of the standard cards were destroyed in a warehouse fire in Taiwan. So, he had really no choice but to make new cards in Greece. That was one of the big reasons for the delay. I think that is also the reason he made a few extra decks, to help partially recoup his added costs to make a custom deck. I am sure not complaining. However, I am also very unlikely to open any of my four Signature decks to personally enjoy these magnificent cards (shown above).

Being that you won't be opening them, maybe you'll be interested in selling one off.

I would've purchased one at the outset. But it was just for the super fancy tuck so I decided to pass. Regretting that deeply.

Lotrek will be selling 50 more. I believe limited to one per person, so you should get a second chance. My four are part of four complete sets. If interested in buying a complete set of six decks (Black, red and platinum Collectors. Blue and red Plsyers and the Signature), then PM me and I’ll try to dream up a price.

I will have 2 available for sale (Hopefully in the next couple of days) if you can't get them elsewhere.

Do we know when these are likely to go on sale?

I think it was supposed to be July 13, but we are talking about Lotrek, right? Hopefully he will give us a little notice before they go on sale. Even so, I check his website about twice a day. I figure if someone here sees any on sale they will post here (after first securing their deck).

Signature deck is my favorite of the four. Better looking tuck plus cards aren't thick like the others.

Just got my Ambassadors and they look super...one thing though, I just found out there is a platinum edition. Now my set is incomplete...nooo!
