Wow. I absolutely love the new backs. The previous backs weren't bad, but these really grab me.

The first total redesign overhaul was impressive as it was leaps and bounds better than the original and I gave mad props then but gotta give 'em again now for once more going back to the drawing board to improve - that back is great and the new name is a very welcomed changed - well done!

Also, I updated the thread to reflect the change in name and included the launch date/time - Best of luck on the campaign! :D

Agree - as to the AoS, why simply not say Parma’s, perhaps in all capitals? Takes less space and definitely less clunky than what you have there now.

Any tuck by Lotrek is a very good tuck [emoji4]
Yes guys.... we agree, the ace without PARAMA...is more clear.

Wondering why this campaign isn't getting much attention here?

Bad timing, I think. Primordial launched just a few days later and is in a very similar vein thematically and stylistically. But both projects appear to be doing well.

Yeah... so much Greek mythology going on into deck designs!! And this isn't the first time similar themes clashed, I remember there was a Persian vs. Babylonian some time ago

Last year there were several decks inspired by Egypt.

I know both Egypt and Greece are popular themes, but I wonder if Assassin's Creed games have something to do with these "fashions"...

Well we're still talking about and influenced by the ancient Greeks and Egyptians thousands of years later :D Not sure it's just a fashion! :)

Now that we finally got Gio to swear off the Greek mythology for a while "almost for sure," other designers are horning in to pick up the market share. Kickstarter abhors a vacuum :P

I would live to see Gio do Egyptians, Vikings or pirates. Which I also mentioned to him in the survey he out out.

@Merlebird - remember I'm a Betrayer

@STLBluesNut - Egypt Gods or Norse/Viking Gods might be possible! However I want to do something different than the other (awesome) decks that were made in the past with those themes.
Probably not Pirates, it's not a theme I "feel" much.
Let's see when I have completed Monolith.... :)

@Allan - :o

As if anybody could forget! I should've put three sets of air quotes around "almost for sure," I guess. One pair must not accurately convey my level of skepticism. :ugthink:

I for one would like to see an Animal themed Gio deck, he has some animals featured on the courts of many past decks but a deck where the animals are the courts could be exciting and fresh!

I made the same suggestion, actually. Given his interest in Greek folklore and narrative imagery I thought he might try doing a deck based on Aesop's Fables.

But he can't put boobs on the animals, so he "almost for sure" won't do one. :mrgreen:

:lol: I might do that.

Guys, for avoid to go offtopic I suggest to continue this discussion on Thirdway Thread or Monolith thread :)
I am always very happy and open to discuss future themes.

haha I really hate minimalism. I like strong choices, bold colors, crazy characters, intricated designs.
Minimalism, nowdays, is usually a way to cover a lack of design skill.

He saw that one episode of CSI. :ugthink:

But since Officer Gio of the Fun Police said we have to stay on topic (and off his lawn): did anybody else think it was odd that Oath is doing the standard tucks, but not (if I'm parsing this correctly) the limited ones? I'm not a huge fan of the cutout around the silhouette of the Ace of Spades; I wonder if Lotrek's manufacturers weren't either.

I had the exact same thought as you. I got excited when I saw they'd found a tuck printer in Italy that I was hoping to explore working with, but that cut out looks like it was done with scissors. I'm not sure if they're prototypes or not.

EDIT - The below part is inaccurate or was edited on the KS, so apologies! Left here for shame.

Also, guys I'd be happy to help with your translation to English in future. The main grating issue is that you've announced the new deck stand as FREE (in capitals, moreover) and then immediately asked for just €5 to cover the cost of it.

Anyone see that Fonejacker sketch with the free chicken wing for just £1 more? I cracked up.

The way I read the campaign page, everyone who pledges for two or more decks will get one stand for free. It's additional stands that have an add-on cost of €5. (Presumably folks who pledge for only one deck, who won't be getting a complimentary stand, can pick one up at that same add-on cost.)

You're absolutely right, so either I misread (probably) or they caught it and sorted it out. Either way I should stammi zitto e andare a fare un culo :oops:

I hope these guys get there anyway. The arts nice, even if it's not my taste.

It appears Gamblers Warehouse is finally including in their shipping notice WHAT they are shipping! Thanks GW! That is really helpful. My Theos rewards just shipped. And, it is already in Houston and should be delivered tomorrow!
