Hellions are a pretty nice deck, but it seems that this was just the first part of a series.

I wish they'd resurrect their element series :(

I wonder if consistency was more important than it making sense, because at least Saints are supposed to be heavenly or positive figures and the deck should open from the top. At least that's why DM said that Hellions opened from the bottom, to indicate it's a devilish deck that comes from 'down below' etc...

Can't wait to see what the new back designs look like though.

I'm hesitant to say I like this series.

Regarding Hellions. What is the difference between v1 and v2 apart from the number in the version ?

The cases are the same.

Now, about the cards:
Queen of spades v1 has a "Madison" face (as in not standard but probably inspired by someone he knows). Queen of spades v2 has a standard face but her eyes are closed.

King of spades both have non standard faces but they are different. The v2 king looks like David Blaine.

Jack of diamonds v2 has a non standard face. V1 has a standard face, eyes closed. Same thing for the jack of clubs, v2 is non-standard and v1 is standard with eyes closed.

V1 has one of these double index cards (Ace of clubs / 3 of hearts) and v2 has a different gaff card with the hand of the devil shown. You can see this card on E's website: Image.

I hope that helps :)

Remind me again, please... is v2 of Hellions what you currently get if you order Hellions from E's site? Their site does not clarify, but I seem to recall that being the case.

I know the court cards are different between the two versions but does anyone know a way to tell the difference between unopened tucks? I got a Hellions during the last "sneaky" way they did this and I'm pretty sure it was a V1 but I cannot tell and will not open it up. Thanks in advance!

V1 are long gone. They already mentioned last time they put them back on sale they were V2. I think they had a few days presale where they were selling the last of V1 then it was all V2

Unfortunately, there is nothing that I can see on the tucks that changes between the two versions. Where is X-ray vision when we need it?

For those that want the next three DM decks (Martyr's, Saints and Confessions)

http://www.ellusionist.com/confessions- ... decks.html

Use code: IMUSTCONFESS for 70% OFF. Takes it down to $30 for the set.

Get them while you can.
Enjoy!

Apparently these aren't the last Madison decks either, Madison mentioned Gold Rounders and Gold Revolvers in his last email.

FYI, Ellusionist said that Martyrs, Saints, and Confessions are going out of production. They'll keep making Hellions.

I grabbed a Martyrs deck on sale a few days ago - it's the only one of the four I really like so I'm set :D

Confessions had some really interesting...confessions on the cards themselves. This deck did not impress me but once it was opened I appreciated it more. Otherwise from a tuck standpoint I preferred Martyrs too.
