Found these duplicates:
https://portfolio52.com/deck/989/view
https://portfolio52.com/deck/340/view
They are both in a lot of collections, so I didn't feel comfortable picking one over the other. Thanks!

Re: Duplicate Decks
I'm pretty sure the Ebon deck by NoirArts has been duplicated; the tuck box pictures look slightly different which I assume is down to lighting.

Re: Duplicate Decks
According to the duplicate deck text, users have to manually update their collection otherwise the deck no longer shows in their collection since it's going to be deleted. Just curious if an update script could be written to update the intersection table holding deck id's / user id's to put the non-duplicate in their collection / wish list / trade list automatically? I'm making a couple of assumptions, the first being that P52 runs on MySQL or SQL Server and second that the collections / wish lists / trade lists are all intersection tables that just hold a foreign key to the deck / user tables. I do some DBA work as part of my development job. I work mostly in SQL Server, but the SQL language is close between platforms and I've done work in MySQL as well. I'd be happy to help with a script if wanted.flyers3003 wrote:Thanks Max,max wrote:THE DEAD MAN'S DECK

Re: Duplicate Decks
Please when deleting a deck as a duplicate put in a link to the already listed deck --I think that if a link is not put in then the deck should not be allowed to be deleted. Many times a deck is deleted and done so incorrectly as there is something different that the reviewer did not notice. Just a thought. Thanks, Russ

Re: Duplicate Decks
I was directed here from portfolio52.com, regarding duplicate entrires. My apologies if this is not the correct procedure.
I recently added two editions of MAGA’s Most Wanted (Mugshot and Late Nite). The database ostensibly only had the Newspaper edition before. My entries were rejected as duplicates. I get no results when searching “MAGA”, “Most Wanted”, “Late Nite” or anything else that I tried, including "Newspaper", which now appears to have vanished (it has been removed from my collection too).
Is it perhaps a Trump fan that rejected my additions and deleted the Newspaper edition? Restricting which decks can be added (especially if it is political) does not seem to fit the mission statement on the site.
The instructions for duplicate deck entries instruct one to find the proper decks. Can anyone help me to find the following decks using the portfolio52 search feature?
MAGA’s Most Wanted: Late Nite
MAGA’s Most Wanted: Mugshot Pack
MAGA’s Most Wanted: Newspaper
They are produced by Unseat Games, if that helps.

Re: Duplicate Decks
False flags on duplicates are still an issue on site we deal with often mostly because we get a LOT of duplicates so these things happen. In general if you have any specific questions you can DM Portfolio52 on Facebook or IGSoutie Bliksem wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 12:21 am I was directed here from portfolio52.com, regarding duplicate entrires. First step when receiving a rejected entry is checking the reason in description or title of your submission. A contributor will try to give you notice for why it was rejected in the original submission. It's almost always because an image isn't proper quality or that the deck exists. If it is the later they will put in the description of the rejected entry a link to the deck they believe to be the duplicate of. As long as it is a deck of cards, for the most part we have never rejected a deck based on content. (There were a few pornographic ones we had to help censor gallery-wise but still stayed on site).
If your deck was rejected and you can confirm the deck the contributor linked to is a different deck, then you can either message P52 in the ways above or email me directly 'alex@seasonsplayingcards.com' and I can help update it for you personally. This usually happens with variants that are similar but technically different.
Easiest way if you don't want to wait is to resubmit. When submitting a deck (that can potentially be rejected), it is extremely important to note the differences by making it explicit in the description of how the deck is different (production, visual marks, etc). Make it clear why this submission deserves an entry. What helps even more are images uploaded to the gallery to show and compare the differences. Finally, always link to the original deck in the description to acknowledge that this deck is a variant deck of the original, but still different.
The only time a valid variant will still get rejected is if the only difference is a year change and everything else is exactly the same. We really only see this with mainstream cards like Bicycle where a standard deck can be reprinted 10 years in a row and we don't want to clog up the database with essentially duplicates. As long as there is something visually different and is properly given case for, a deck submission will always go through.

Re: Duplicate Decks
Hopefully you guys still check this thread.
The original: https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/4971/view
The duplicate: https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/14614/view
I know the comment of 14614 specifically says "Not a duplicate of https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/4971/view", but as far as I know, there has only been one version of the KWP Pearl Tally-Ho Limited Edition ever released. And I have been obsessively collecting KWP for about 5 years now.
Both show "Pearl Tally Ho xxx/850" on the seal, same colors, though the original has fairly bad lighting. And the uploader did not go into detail about what was different, just that it "was not a duplicate," but I think he was mistaken.
Unless the someone can explain what the difference is, I am fairly certain it is indeed a duplicate.

Re: Duplicate Decks
There are three "duplicate" decks posted that are the same deck. The deck is the KWP Back to School Super Duper Polka Dot Gilded version. I have checked with several long term collectors and there was only one variation of the Super Duper. There is a 1/1 overrun/proof/giveaway deck out there in the wild that was initialed by the Austin KWP crew way back when. It is currently for sale on ebay. However, none of the three decks on the site purport to be that 1/1 deck.
The three listings are:
- deck 8621 (having been placed in 18 collections) https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/8621/view
- deck 8632 (having been placed in 23 collections) https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/8632/view
- deck 15257 (having been placed in 4 collections) https://www.portfolio52.com/deck/15257/view
It is important to note that because each of the 120 decks in this limited release were decorated differently by JR's daughters, that the pictures uploaded in these three entries will appear to be for different types of decks.
Thanks.

Re: Duplicate Decks
Hi,
not sure if this is the correct place for this, please let me know if it isn't.
I added a blue WPT Bee Ohio blue seal deck from 2007 to the Portfolio52 and it was marked as a duplicate, eventhough I did not find the Ohio blue seal version, just regular black seal version.
The red version has black and blue seal decks separate:
WPT Red Ohio blue seal
WPT Red black seal
Thank you and have a great day.

Re: Duplicate Decks
If you find an editor on P52, you can message them directly on P52. The status is listed on their profile as "contributor." I've done that for some decks, like Sardines where I uploaded the Pearlescent version after messaging someone that there are two different tucks and they approved the edits for me.forest_of_spades wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 12:47 am Hi,

Nurul is also an admin you can message on Facebook if there are any concerns. I messaged him when someone had marked Vittoria prototypes as duplicates when they clearly were not...the colors of the tucks were even different! Check out this mess: https://portfolio52.com/search?search_string=Vittoria

Re: Duplicate Decks
I tried to fix it, downloaded and re-uploaded the Front Tuck Image and added (Blue Seal) to title and description sections. Will see if that fixes it, can't tell since images get cached it takes a while for edits to update. It helps to call out unique features in both title and description when adding derivative decks.forest_of_spades wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 12:47 am Hi,
