There's always the big retail chains, Wal-Mart/Target if you can get them the supply at a good price for them. Smaller stores such as pharmacies and book stores. Have you tried some online deck retailers, JP playing cards/CPC/GW?

I like that choice Mike. Robert, did she get the creative/ownership rights to that deck?

How about simply RJT Playing Cards? Which turns into RJTPC, which sounds a bit like RJRTC (R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company) that made the famous Watermelons decks.
That way, your decks may one day be collectively known as RJTPC's

Yeah, Black Diamond Playing Cards and RJT Playing Cards are both good choices too. For the Swarm deck, I did the design as a favor for the Chinese but retained all the rights to use the artwork however I see fit. They said they would give me a percentage of US sales... assuming we could get it into retail here. Now if I only had a sales rep or someone that could get their foot into Walmart or Target.

Time to change your signature.
I'd avoid a new name with King something...Lots of different King playing card companies.
I'd avoid the alphabet soup with coming up with a new name.
There's already another deck coming out Diamond Playing Cards.
I like the face cards you've made for the Swarm decks. Hopefully you decide to print some with better quality printers, or maybe start a staple deck series like Encarded does. Seems like good staple deck court card images.
Good luck with the new name and good luck with the new life.

Hey Robert;
There is a link below to Wal-Mart and a few other retailers pages to submit products for sale in their stores. You can Google the term "How to get your product in...." and add the store you are interested in. Most retailers have a page like the ones below. Best of luck.
I³ Playing cards (Inspired Innovation and Imagination) Has a nice ring to it and is nothing like anything else in the card business. The logo, I³, has design possibilities I think. I thought of it awhile ago but I'll never use it. You are welcome to it.
Definitely a horrible situation, mate. I'm sure you have, but make sure you talk to your counsel to make sure anything formed currently can't also be taken (be it partially or in full). I do like the sound of Black Diamond Cards, has a nice ring to it. While it's not much, you can count on my continued support in the future.
Don't forget to become a supplier through Amazon and frankly you may want to contact Art of Play, Touch of Modern and other such venues as well.

Robert - Sounds like she finally left you when she found someone better. Women have a tendency to do that. She must have been unhappy for a while. I've always known you to be an underdog and you always seem to fight it out and win. Remember BMPokerworld? Who is here now? South Mountain Playing Card Co. or simply SMPCC sounds pretty good. You eventually want to be like USPCC, EPCC, LPCC, and MPC. Good luck. I don't mean to piss you off, but sometimes it's good to get angry for a bit...

I'm still working on a name. I'm still leaning towards South Mountain.
We actually had a great marriage. For 14 years everything was perfect. Just in the last three months I saw a change. I wish I could say more but I need to be careful what I say. I have tons of stuff I would like to get off my chest but in the end I have to be careful. I can't even describe how hard it is to function when the person you loved and trusted so long is now only out to hurt you.
As far as her finding someone better... my only response is
She didn't plan on getting caught. She wanted to have her cake and eat it too. She wanted to live the American dream I was providing and have her covert wild dangerous life on the side. Oh how I wish I could post the photos I have but I won't. I have to bite my tongue hard not too say everything I wish I could.
I wish I could save her and bring her back from the path she's going but it's too late for her. I'm not strong enough to save both her and the kids. She's the one that opened Pandora's box, not the kids. My focus is on saving the kids from going down the path she has chosen. It's my job as a father to protect my kids from evil and from bad things... so I'm going to give it all I have to make sure they have the life they deserve.
Maybe one day down the road I'll find a nice woman that is into playing card design, Walt Disney World, watching movies like Star Wars and Lord of the Rings) and isn't too picky on looks. But if not, it's not a big deal. Me and the kids will be like Full House but without Uncle Jesse, Joey, and the Olsen Twins.

First of all you should do your best to locate John Stamos and see if he wants a roommate. Second of all change your avatar! Lastly, when you're ready, I'd love to see some creative decks come out of this.

Got damn. Every week it's something negative I hear about marriage that makes me not want to be involved most times. You can't keep it 100% with people close to you.

Just an update... I've been hearing from a handful of people over the last few days that the cards they ordered during my wife's "blow out labor day sale" aren't arriving. I was afraid this would be the outcome but didn't want to falsely accuse her of doing something like this.
I know some of the packages are on their way because last week she dropped off a large amount that needed mailing. She claimed she had no money so I agreed to ship them at my own expense since most people associate the business with me rather then her. Though I'm no longer associated with the business I don't want people thinking I'm screwing them over. That's why I mailed those at my own cost.
I'm going to do my best to see what other packages remain that still need to be shipped out. I'm going to get my lawyer involved too. I doubt theirs much that can be done. She fully owns the company, she took all the inventory and she collected all the money from this blow out sale... so my hands are tied.
On the brighter side of things, I'm just finishing up a local history deck I'm doing for Mansfield PA (pretty much the same as I did for Bradford County). Once that's done I'm going to start working on a few decks to launch on Kickstarter.
If you're one of the ones effect by this "blowout sale" please let me know so I can pass on to my lawyer what you ordered.

Oddly enough, I just received two Titanic decks from you a couple days ago. (have to look to see which they were) I say oddly because I got my Titanic decks long ago and haven't ordered any since.

Sorry. I should have posted an update to this. While they weren't mine I did find out who they belonged to. They are for another member here. They were supposed to be addressed so that I would know that but sadly now that Robert isn't involved it looks like the new "owner" doesn't pay attention to details such as proper addressing. Sorry again that I left this open.
PS The person who did order them also had to open a Paypal dispute.

I'm here... just in the shadows. I've been working on a lot of local history decks. I can't believe how popular they seem to be. Almost any historical society that sees one wants one made for them. If I had a better sales rep I could make a full time job of it.... not just for me but the sales rep too. All the sales I've had are basically word of mouth from people that picked up one of the many decks I've already done. I'm averaging about one a month. So, if anyone is interested in sales... I have job opening available.
I am slowly working on a deck to put on Kickstarter. I was going to do one called broken hearts based on my current situation but I can't seem to pull myself together long enough to do it. So, since all my previous decks are now under the ownership of my ex (until the court rules on them next month)... I decided to do a similar series but not so much war based. In fact, most of them are post war... the aftermath series. lol
The first deck has a lot to do with the creation of Washington DC. As many people may already know.. a lot of our founding fathers were freemasons. If you look at a map of DC... you can clearly see some of the influences this secret society had. So, long story short... this deck will be a "National Treasure" style deck with clues leading to more clues. If successful, the series will continue as a four part series ending with the assignation of JFK.
I'll have some preview artwork available shortly.

Thanks for the update, I'll be passing along the idea of a deck locally here for you as well. Glad to see you're still active and making progress on the personal front. Seriously though, a new beginning includes changing your profile pic here.

I still need to update my profile pic sometime.
As I'm getting my Kickstarter project ready, I'm torn about what printer I should use. I know USPCC is superior but their pricing makes it so you need to have a higher goal. High goals frighten me. I like to set the bar low when setting goals. I have a really good working relationship with WJ printing. There quality is improving by leaps and bounds but still not where USPCC, EPCC/LPCC is. I personally say they're equal if not better in quality to MPC. My first deck with WJ was Gettysburg which I had a few issues that I gave them to work on... such as the smell, the feel of the coating and the cellophane (which was extremely loose). All three categories they improved greatly... in fact as far as cellophane, they have everyone beat in that department. It's now nice and tight like USPCC but has a tear tab that actually works. The smell is totally gone now. The handling and feel is a lot better too.
I never used LPCC but they're basically hand in hand with EPCC and after my Titanic experience I vowed to never use them again.
Any opinions on who I should use? I could always start with WJ and have a stretch goal to switch to USPCC. But the only problem with that is with WJ I can do embossing and inside tuck printing at a fair price opposed to USPCC where they need a kidney to do that stuff.

I think starting out with WJ and doing a USPC stretch goal is a good idea.
