Hey guys,

Great to be back into the swing. Glad for the positive feedback, I had a ball working with Paul on these decks. Thanks to him for the faith in following up the amazing work Randy has already established with LUXX, very tough act to follow. And yes I have been quiet, but I haven't forgotten UC, just busy times. With this series and other plans. But very happy to be back on the boards.

And I'm glad we went with borderless ;) It was nice to work a refresh of the traditional faces, and I don't think I've worked on a design with this much complexity, so really looking forward to seeing the final product.

Good to see the faithful here, hope you're all well.

Paul's got a beautiful concept going with this brand, Kudos to both him and the artists involved :)

That's lovely! Reminds me of the Royal Optiks. My favorite UUSI decks. :)

very nice color choices! I will be in for a brick. Do we already have some details on the pricing or some early birds specials?

This is not a Kickstarter, so no EBs.

PrincessTrouble is correct - however, we do try and give a little extra to those that pre-order. For the original LUXX it was matching pairs, for v2 it was a special price plus holographic sealed decks. For LUX Palme we will have a couple of specials for those that pre-order too, it's not confirmed just yet - I will post back when I have more details.

We're now working on pricing and specifics for the pre-order, but you can expect a broadly similar price range to the original first edition decks from Randy (which I guess is still a lower price if you available of the free standard delivery)

We will of course have some sweeteners for those that pre-order.

We are excited and proud to announce that the second deck in our LUXX® range is currently in the proofing stage. Once again we feel pretty lucky to be working with such a highly regarded and phenomenally talented card designer, this time it's Rick Davidson! (Designer of the Origins decks)

Inspired by the popular Paisley pattern, Palme is likely to be available towards the end of the summer. We will again be taking pre-orders and giving a little extra to those that choose to do so!
Just to note - I wasn't happy with the quality of the numbered bands for the sets, so we're not going ahead with that now (at least in that form anyway. I'll keep the thread updated with what we do intend to do). Could someone remove that image now please to avoid confusion and people feeling misled?

A quick update folks, pre-orders are likely to take place at the end of September, with shipping around 3-4 weeks later.

No dealer coin this time, but we're working on a nice brick box and (possibly) gilt edge decks for the pre-order launch also. Though the latter may be a challenge as it was time-consuming organising and QCing the last set of decks, so it may be hard to do both at the same time. More info will be posted when I have it!

Thanks Victor!

So it's 99% set for pre-orders beginning on Friday, October 2nd. Time TBC.

We won't be releasing the gilded decks at the same time, as that takes some organisation on our part and would be better to do it later on. We expect to release gilded decks later in the year, and we're looking into gilding a small number of the original v1 decks at the same time.

Lower pre-order pricing will apply, and we're working a local UK luxury packaging specialist to do a brick box, more news on that soon!

Love the design but the fact that these are borderless makes me... less excited.

The full bleed backs makes it a must have for me. Different strokes for different folks...

also for me the borderless design makes this the first brick I will order this year! I'm into gambling sleights and card collecting, so this is a deck I have been waiting for a long time.

I guess I'm in the vast minority. I absolutely hate the split down the middle of the suits. They make the hearts, diamonds and spades look strange unnecessarily. Easy pass for me.

Whilst I take your point they are not a necessity, the idea was to use the Paisley shape to form the pips- but of course the diamond wasn't going to be possible. It would have looked odd as normal without it though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Pre-orders are penciled in to start October 2nd folks. There's a product page if you want to add your email for when they go live.

Just got their email. I think the email was worded incorrectly. Don't think the pre-order has started.

"This was a complex project to design and I'm really looking forward to seeing these decks released. This is a limited run, so drop by JP Playing cards here and place your pre-order now."

I'm a little confused, when you say you just got their email - exactly who did the email come from please? It wasn't us, and we've been very clear that pre orders start Oct 2nd (TBC)

We haven't sent any email newsletters for nearly two weeks.

Ah OK, thanks! Yes does sound like the wording needs tweaking, but should be clear on the site that they are definitely not available yet, thanks folks!
