So are these just an extra shiny silver gild? Or maybe a duller silver? Is this an industry first? If not I would love to see something to compare it to. No offence but after the "blue" Spirit debacle I don't know if I trust computer generated images... Having said that, those pictures look BAD ASS.

It's only right to get decks called Alloy when they can actually look like a block of metal (the gilded set).

This is an industry first and we will do our best to get the best results out of it.
Even though the color is different for the tucks than the rendered image but everyone on the comments section of the project has praised that deck alot.
If you compare our renderings of Regal to the actual decks (which you will very soon) you will be stunned to see how well they have been produced and the digital image is nothing compared to the original.

Our task is not only to sell at kickstarter but post kickstarter is as much important to us as well because of our retail & online stores!!
Therefore we strive hard to produce equivalent or better than what we advertise.

Compare the first image which was used for marketing during the Regal campaign and the last two images are for actual decks !!

Hello !!
This is an update to let you know pricing and how to add-on to your pledge to receive your gilded decks set when they become unlocked at 5PM CST today. (Limited to 1 Set per backer)
Please do not add on to your pledge until the clock strikes that time. Your spot will not be reserved unless you ALSO send us a Private Message via kickstarter as soon as you add-on your funds. When your pledge is adjusted we will receive a time-stamped email as well to use for tracking.
The gilded decks will be sold as a set & there are only 150 SETS available. So don't waste any time getting in your pledge! All you have to do is add on the funds to your existing pledge and then send us a PM letting us know you have reserved a spot. We will then send you back a reply confirming that you have reserved one of the 150 sets available.
Please do not add-funds until 5 PM CST!!! This gives everyone a fair chance at pledging and reserving a set. The pricing will be as follows: $55 US / $58 CAN / $62 Rest of World

Prices will be revealed later as we are still debating with EPCC to bring the costs down for this deck somehow...

I've tried throwing money, cards, Monopoly money, and vintage coins at the screen, but nothing seems to be working. My monitor seems to be broken too.

There may be a 2-4 deck limit for each backer. I would get more than one deck though I already spent used car money on this project.

These prices are getting ridiculous. I want to know the cost per deck of producing these so I know they aren't making a huge overcharge on us!

500 print runs are the new 5,000- whatever the overcharge is, you're paying for rarity. For an industry 1st such as this I personally don't think $35 including shipping is a bad price. On a curious note it would be interesting to know the cost.

The tooling cost itself is way too high on this for foiling each card on both sides. If there were 5000 decks it would have been a different story but since its extremely limited so we were unable to keep the cost down.
The response so far has been terrific and we appreciate your support !!

$35 isn't a lot. There's a KS campaign that there's 500 decks available for $75-$85 each that nobody complained about (though we haven't received them yet). So if you really want something, you're gonna pay for it!

Then perhaps it should have been a 1000 deck run or something larger. Nobody said it had to be so limited that the costs ended up so great.
Btw, $35, $40 international might not seem much, but currency rates are crap right now. This deck is costing me about $53 right now, on top of the other 2 I pledged for. A $74 pledge turns into almost $100 CAD. If the rates weren't so bad it would be a different story.

These decks are being produced by EPCC, so I'm wondering if the foiling technique is the same as in past EPCC decks with foiling on the cards themselves (think of the Exquisite Bold deck, the Zen decks, the Black Spirit deck, and the green Chameleons deck). If you look at those past foiled decks, you can see that the stamping of the foil on the back of the cards can be faintly seen on the front of the cards - the stamping bleeds through the card stock as an impression.
All these past decks were foil stamped only on the back design, so there was no issues of playability. However, since the Cobalt deck will be foiled on the faces as well, I'm wondering if we'll see the same bleed through issue where we can see a faint impression of the face of the cards show up on the backs. If this is the case, then the Cobalt deck would be rendered unplayable because we'd be able to identify the cards by the impression of the foil stamping that bleeds through to the back.
Yes, I actually open and use my decks, so this is something I would like to know before I drop a relatively considerable amount of money on a deck that may or may not be playable.
