I'm in for a couple. Werewolves have never been an interest for me. I like the fun courts though the card backs don't do a thing for me. I'm happy to show support though, since it's not a zombie deck.

I'm kinda on the fence with these...
The art is pretty good, but a little too "comic book-ish" for me.
Also, having the Aces look like another king is really weird. It took me a minute to realize that the index was an "A" and I was looking at an Ace... this would make these cards difficult to actually play with.
The aces should always be unique from the courts, IMHO.
Plus, the lenticular tuck just seems like a gimmick. It makes sense with the theme I guess, but still seems like another over-hyped "FIRST!!!!".
I have a couple of decks where each card has lenticular motion, so it's definitely not a totally new idea, but those weren't bicycle cards, so I'm sure these are "first" in that respect. CBJ would certainly be the one to know that!
guess I'm just feeling persnickety... and not looking forward to 18 more tuck variations!

Th4mo has said exactly what was on my mind. Plus I think the back design could have been much better, this deck had so much potential, just falling slightly short in several areas.

I hear everyone.
Truth be told, the backs were a pain for me on these for some reason... I just couldn't get it to "click". BUT, I've reworked the backs, and will be changing them. I've almost completed the redesign, and am going to do an update soon. Hopefully, that will appease the fencers.

Yeah, I'm with others about the backs. The art on this deck is beautiful but backs are what drive my purchases for the most part. I'll keep my eye out for any positive changes, either you can see a lot of time and care went into this deck, nice work

Oh I get it, I'm speculating that the regular edition is just that, the special edition has that cool tuck and maybe the limited edition will have glow in the dark ink to fit the theme?? That would be cool!

I will never understand why Crooked Kings has to offer so many limited edition tuckcases nor why everyone jumps all over them. 1 limited edition tuckcase and 1 standard edition is more than enough unless you are going to be changing to cards, otherwise it is excessive and unnecessary. Just like his previous projects with too many tuck swaps.

So have shown a third tuck yet? Definitely a deal breaker for me.

Hey Victor
This has come up in many other deck threads on UC and PCF...
So let me start by saying that having variants is common practice in other collectable worlds, especially in Comic Books.
For this particular deck there will be 3 variants....
Standard Edition - basic tuckbox with custom seal
Special Edition - Lenticular tuckbox with custom seal
Limited Edition - Foil embossed, a
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT lenticular lens, Crooked Kings limited edition deck-band hand numbered and signed, with metal stamp
And yes.. all 3 decks will have the exact same cards in them. The versions above cover every kind of buyer.
So whether you want a deck for every day play, or to own one of the first Bicycle lenticular decks, or to have a totally decked-out Limited Edition deck for the collection.. just buy the version(s) you like! No one is forcing you to buy all 3.
On a side note.. we're sitting around 19K! You'll all be able to see the Limited Edition very soon

And i'm sure in both cases its just a way to get people to spend more money. I'm sure the completionists will be thrilled though.

So, the back designs... Like I said, I really was only lukewarm on the previous back designs. I didn't think they fit as well as they could with the overall design, and just was having a heck of a time getting a solid design that I was happy with, and after seeing the comments on the project and on UC, I decided that it was time to take another stab at it.
With that said, I just updated the project with the new backs, and think that it's exactly what was missing! I hope you all like them too!

I like it! The full bleed strip will limit the effects a magician can do with this deck and I'm usually against stuff like that. But in this case I think it looks much better with the full bleed than a white border all around.

Yep, back design is much better, though that is usually one of the last things I look at.
Still, no one else thinks the "court-aces" are weird???

I can see what you are saying. Hopefully it won't become a trend. They could've at least tried to make them shaped like each corresponding suit. I really dislike the new back.

I am so glad the card backs have been redesigned. I really didn't like the others much at all. This new back, definitely a good thing!

As others mentioned, the backs looks much better now.
Also, the Aces looking as courts is not the best approach to it, If they could integrate this theme in the four aces that would be great.
On a side note, once again, they are putting out 3 tuck swaps for the same deck.... They could invest the time to make all the three different tucks in making just one with all the whistles and bells (not that the lenticular isn't a geat thing).

Yup, that makes a big difference, cbj, you probably said already and I missed it but what is your involvement with the project.

Hey!
Scott and I worked together on developing the theme, art, and project. We collaborated on it entirely.
And...
IT JUST PASSED THE FUNDED GOAL!!!!
Update coming very soon...

Just noticed what you guys were talking about and I agree and hope they change that too. I mean, isn't 3 court cards per suit enough?

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH, for helping this get funded so quickly! I still am in shock at just how quickly this project met it's goal! You all are absolutely amazing, and I hope you're somewhere where you can let out an awesome howl!... Even if it's at work!
The GOOD news is, the hard part is finished! The GREAT news is, now comes the really fun stuff, the remaining unlocks!
The last tuck in the project-- the FULL MOON LIMITED EDITION!
These tucks have everything!
Foil stamped
Lenticular lens graphic
Limited run- 1,500
Limited seal
Crooked King limited edition deck band, which is hand signed and numbered, and has the CK metal seal
***PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS UPDATE, IF YOU ARE ADDING THIS LIMITED EDITION DECK. IT WILL BE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, NO LIMIT.***
ADD $20 US to your pledge or $22 Int'l, to get them while you can, because after they're gone, they're gone.
We've still got a few more aces up our sleeves, so let's keep pushing it and see how far we get. I haven't put up the graphic yet, but the 40K goal is AWESOME looking!
Thanks again, everyone!

Jay, doesn't the Crooked Kings special band kind of go against the whole new Lenticular tuck? If I'm getting this special new tuck why would I want to cover it with the band? Sorry if this sounds negative, I'm actually really curious about the decision to include the band.

Hahaha. That's a good point, but the band easily slides on and off of the deck, so you can display it with or without the band.
